Install and configure UNIX operating systems and servers. Support AIX OS to run various software applications. Maintain and upgrade the AIX OS. Install and test AIX OS patches. Develop procedures for AIX security and management. Update standard policies according to environment changes and audit results. Develop performance improvement initiatives for AIX system environment. Identify and resolve system issues in a timely manner. Plan and coordinate the installation, testing, and maintenance of AIX systems software and related hardware. Plan and execute AIX projects within approved timelines. Analyze software and hardware environments to determine any system defects. Maintain documentation of AIX hardware and software components and user and operator procedures. Develop data backups and retrieval techniques in case of failure, redundancy, etc. Detect and troubleshoot system operational and functional issues. Perform performance maintenance routines to ensure continuous system availability. Develop and implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.

Job Description:
Abides by company by-laws including policies and procedures.
Day to day Technical management of Offshore Support Vessels
Execute the duties of Technical Superintendent on fleet owned/managed/chartered by the Seaways Group
Conduct vessel inspections on site and plan spare part inventory and purchase for the vessel.
Ensure all equipment and machinery is operated at the optimum performance.
Ensure that the vessel is properly manned.
Ensure that all stores and stocks are maintained at correct level.
Ensure vessel is maintained in Class.
Ensure at discretion of the company you have to replace the Chief Engineer on board companies fleet / managed / chartered vessel for a short period. The employee has to keep his sea going certificates always valid and the cost and the time for renewal / revalidation of these sea going certificates will be the responsibility of the employee.
You are expected to work in any office of the Company, as required and instructed by the Management, as and when the need arise.
Apart from the designated job profile, you are expected to comply with and perform any work role, including ship visits, as assigned by the Management within the scope of your capability
