Job Description
To analyze configurations of the basic structural components of a building or other structure;
To calculate the pressures, stresses and strains that each component, such as a beam or lintel, will experience from other parts of the structure due to human use or environmental pressures such as weather or earthquakes;
To consider the strength of various materials, e.g. timber, concrete, steel and brick, to see how their inclusion may necessitate a change of structural design;
Should liaise with other designers, including architects, to agree on safe designs and their fit with the aesthetic concept of the construction;
Should examine structures at risk of collapse and advising how to improve their structural integrity, such as recommending removal or repair of defective parts or rebuilding the entire structure;
To make drawings, specifications and computer models of structures for building contractors;
Work with geotechnical engineers to investigate ground conditions and analyse results of soil sample and in-situ tests;
To liaise with construction contractors to ensure that newly erected buildings are structurally sound;
To apply expert knowledge of the forces that act on various structures;
Should use computers and computer-aided design (CAD) technology for simulation purposes.

The Role
Collateral Management VP - 85k Client is a market leading global Tier 1 Investment Bank has mutiple headcount and is looking for a Collateral Management VP to head up their team and own several of the groups' responsibilities. The candidate should have a solid understanding of Collateral Management within the Middle Office and have previous management experiences. This is a leading role that offers excellent exposure and visibility to more senior stakeholders within the business - The position offers a great deal of autonomy and the opportunity to manage a team The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities: * Build relationships with all process partners impacted and involved in the collateral process. * Daily Incoming cash settlements and complete margin calls from external counterparties * Issuing collateral demands in reference to Collateral system * Confirm payments, cash receipts are funded and are represented in the appropriate payment system. * Ensure all client money is cleared on a daily basis * Liaise with senior stakeholders with regards to any changes to collateral measurements. * Prepare Collateral spreadsheets for Treasury Cash Management * Create and distribute exposure management reports to stakeholders at end of day * Provide internal and external Collateral client services for all inquiries
