Resident Engineer - Civil

Looking for a Resident engineer civil- substation with a successful record in the delivery of 132kV/400kV transmission substation projects, involving design and construction supervision.

Responsibilities:
* The candidate will report to the Project Manager
* Design Review as and when required for all civil works, associated with substation project
* Site supervision and other assigned tasks required for all civil works, associated with substation project
* Degree qualified to a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
* Min 20 years of experience in engineering and construction supervision (DEWA experience preferable)
* Should be capable of reviewing designs
* Should be capable of reviewing Method Statements, Material Submittals and similar documents
* Should have the capacity in recovery from delays planning and scheduling
* Quality Assurance and Project Coordination as deemed necessary for the Project

Engineer - Electrical (Protection)

Mott MacDonald is looking for an Electrical Engineer (Power System Protection) with a successful record in the delivery of 66kV/132kV/400kV class of transmission substation projects, and, who have been variously in the roles of design, construction supervision, testing and commissioning.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:
* The candidate will report to the Project Manager
* As assigned from time to time for electrical works, associated with substation project
* Will be responsible for the site supervisory works involving electrical protection
* Will be involved in the review of design documents for protection
* Minimum Bachelors qualified in Electrical Engineering
* Minimum 15 years of experience in design, construction, testing, commissioning aspects of protection relaying of electrical substation (DEWA experience preferable)
* Experience in control and protection schemes of electrical substation.
* Working knowledge of IEC-61850
* Should have the capacity to take up roles in either Primary System or SCMS
* Capable of undertaking design reviews if required
* Undertake SAT/FAT if required
* Knowledge of IEC/ANSI Standards related to the discipline
* Ability to work independently or with limited supervision

Lead Site Engineer - Electrical

We are seeking a lead site electrical engineer for a major thermal generation power plant construction project in Dubai. The role is to be the owner's representative on site. The lead site electrical engineer will be part of a team including mechanical, C&I and commissioning site engineers monitoring the construction and commissioning of this large combined cycle power plant.

Key responsibilities/Duties:
* Monitoring the erection, installation and testing up to completion stage
* Reviewing field quality plans, material submissions, method statements and other documentation relevant to construction and erection, conducting meetings and follow up on actions of the contractors as per the deadlines
* Conducting routine checks on erection, construction and testing.
* Reporting regularly to the site construction manager and the client of the on progress of works
* Being a technical manager for a team of site engineers and inspectors
* Significant experience as a site engineer/ resident engineer supervising the installation and commissioning on large CCGT construction projects globally
* Experience of HV electrical systems and grid connections
* Demonstrated experience in owner's engineer roles for thermal power projects and proven ability to deliver projects within a challenging environment
* Recognised tertiary or equivalent qualifications in electrical engineering
* Qualifications in project management will be an advantage
* Experience in leading and managing projects and teams
* Excellent verbal and written communication and report writing skills
* Ability to operate within a strict governance structure

Senior Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Engineer

The Senior Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Engineer will be responsible for driving a collaborative culture of SHEQ across the project for the duration of the design and build stages from inception to close-out. You will establish and develop processes and procedures, in association with the client's staff, and look to build upon these for continuous improvement. 

Key Responsibilities/Duties:
* Development, implementation and monitoring of HSEQ procedures and policies
* Able to relate to people of diverse cultural backgrounds
* Ability to communicate at all levels, including with external parties
* Good organisational Skills
* Excellent ability to meet deadlines
* Leadership and/or managerial experience along with mentoring skills
* Coordinate incident investigations and reporting on outcomes
* Develop a learning element to regularly update and educate staff on HSEQ initiatives
* Prepare and Implement thorough audit program inclusive of ongoing construction
* Ensure that all non-conformances generated during an External/Internal audit are closed out
* Ability to deliver safety practices to ensure zero injury, zero risk, and zero harm.

Safety, Health and Environment:
* Coordinate with MM Group on implementation of HSE minimum requirements and procedures
* Ensure that Project Quality and HSE plans are effectively implemented by periodic site visit and audits
* Expert in carrying out HSE risk assessment & Environment aspect impact analysis for construction sites and offices
* Schedule regular and ad-hoc HSE audits; develop program audit within the organization
* Produce, develop and deliver the Project HSEQ training and HSEQ orientation
* Monitor environmental control activities including waste minimisation, and drive sustainability initiatives
* Familiar with OHSAS 18001, ISO 14000

Quality:
* Preparation and implementation of Quality Control procedures
* Coordinate periodic audits of Quality Control system and identifying non-conformances
* Set up and maintain Quality Control records tracking system in conjunction with the Quality personnel and ensure records of all inspections are maintained as well as non-compliant items
* Quality Assurance maintained simultaneously on various contractors
* Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Managerial Standards
* Degree qualified in any relevant engineering / environmental / Safety discipline;
* Relevant health and safety qualifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP etc.) from a recognised institution
* Minimum 15 years' experience in a similar role; experience of working in an office and site environment essential
* Fully conversant with SHEQ policies and standards
* Technically sound in SHEQ practices including P&ID, HAZOP, SIL etc
* Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English
* Ability to communicate in Arabic is an advantage
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to prepare, write and make presentations and reports
* Familiar, but not essential, with working in a live aviation environment
* Work experience in Middle East is an advantage
* Operating knowledge with ISO 9001 Quality Management Standards, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14000
