Job Description
Immediate opening for an experienced front-end programmer for a full-time, permanent, remote position. This is a full time remote position for a US financial services company that requires some hours during the US (9am -5pm EDT) business hours. Duties:
Create user-friendly, responsive, modern designs for existing web applications
Implement Optimized User Interfaces for existing application
Support the entire application lifecycle from conception to release and ongoing support
Design and develop new base framework for UI
Develop/Test code across multiple browsers and platforms
Create responsive and interactive interfaces
Write clean, secure, and functional code
Optimize application for speed and scalability
Troubleshoot and fix problems with applications as needed
Use APIs to integrate other applications or functions
Utilize experience with web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
Ensure applications meet minimum security and quality standards
Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
Work with existing development team as needed to make changes or add features and create a seamless user experience Knowledge/Experience:
Knowledge and experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies for project management
Knowledge of JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, and PHP
Knowledge and experience with AngularJS and Laravel strongly preferred
Experience with REST/Web services
Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Experience and knowledge of secure coding practices
Familiarity with implementing secure coding to meet compliance standards Other Requirements:

Years of Experience: 5-10 years Buy side experience with hedge fund, mutual fund or proprietary fund (with AUM - USD 50m) with experience of investing into Indian securities Education Level: - A Post Graduate degree is a must. - Preference would be given to CFA, Chartered Accountants, and those with MBA (Finance) or Chemical Engineering or Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences degree from Global Top 50 Institutes. - The candidate would need to pass MAS Module 3 and 6 within 6 months of joining.
