The Senior Quantity Surveyor will provide cost advice and management for pre and post contract stages on various projects. They will be responsible for checking and vetting commercial viability of works packages and client direct packages. Be responsible for change and overall financial management of the projects
A degree in Quantity Surveying with at least 10 years years experience, 5 of these working in the UAE is required and experience of working on high rise projects for a developer/client is essential.

An attractive salary of between 20,000 - 27,000 AED is on offer role the role.

Hays are currently recruiting a Project Manager to work with a market leading construction company to be based in the Dubai. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects for an exciting developer, including High-Rise towers.

The Project Manager must be able to function autonomously and jointly with Director. They must routinely make management decisions pertaining to project issues with minimal supervision throughout the life of the project

• As a Project Manager you must be able to demonstrate strong Commercial awareness and Cost Control ability with a proven track record in the area of construction planning
• Must be technically competent with the ability to set and track project milestones and deliverable's
• Must function effectively as liaison between the company and external Client executives so as to protect the Company and the specific project, to resolve issues or concerns in conjunction with the Board of Directors
• Instruct, coach and direct the project staff with respect to construction, contractual and regulatory requirements with responsibility for assigned work
• Responsibility for the delivery of the job on time, within specification and on budget
• Ensure all personnel on site conduct their duties to the highest standards
• The Project Manager will manage day to day operational duties
• Demonstrates continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
• Develop and deliver progress reports, analyse results and troubleshoot problem areas
• Build, grow and develop business relationships for the success of the project
• Provide feedback and record information from the project for ‘lessons learnt seminars’ and for continuous staff development
• An Engineering/Construction Management/Project Management Degree required or where appropriate relevant experience
• Minimum 10 years construction experience, preferably in a Main Contractor with exposure to High-Rise development projects
• Minimum 10 years management experience required
• Thorough understanding of the construction industry and broad understanding of regulatory requirements
• Excellent ability to analyse and interpret contractual documents
• Proven excellent analytical and organisational skills
• Superior oral and written communication and interpersonal and negotiation skills required.
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing work environment are essential.

Hays are currently working with a reputed engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) organisation with proven capabilities in civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation, pipeline, painting and coating disciplines and is currently executing many projects in oil, gas & petrochemicals, power, water and wastewater sectors.

They are looking for a contracts manager who will be responsible for reviewing proposed contract agreements against acceptable risk profile, draft clauses and negotiate with prospective clients to agree acceptable terms and conditions. You will also prepare prolongation and disruption claim and present, negotiate and conclude claims with clients.
To be considered for the role you must have a bachelor degree or equivalent in quantity surveying, construction management, law, commerce, accounting or other associated disciplines. You must also have a minimum of 10+ years of relevant commercial construction experience in quantity surveying or building law.

A competitive all inclusive salary of between 10,000 - 14,000 USD per month is on offer.

Gas Control Station Coordinator

An owner operator of a gas facility requires a Gas Control Station (GCS) Coordinator to join on a permanent residential basis in Dubai.

The main purpose of the position is to support the safe, effective and efficient function of the Gas Control Station. Close liaison with GCS Supply Lead and GCS System Lead and projects team for GCS project development in ensuring supply and uninterrupted flow of natural gas to customers. 

The GCS is a natural gas receipt and distribution facility that receives natural gas from multiple suppliers and distributes it as fuel gas to critical Dubai industries. The functional distribution is a critical part of Dubai’s energy supply.
Suitable candidates will have an Engineering, or other relevant technical degree with a 7+ years Operational experience in a Gas facility, including process and control and experience with pipeline hydraulic models.

Supply Chain Manager - Chemicals

Functional / Operational tasks:

As the Supply Chain Manager you are responsible for the coordination of all supply chain activities including but not specific to:
• Inventory Management
• Customer Order Management

• Days Inventory

• Facilitate Sales and Operations meetings on a monthly basis to ensure proper flow of information to establish demand for products and ensure supply chain processes are updated to ensure demand for product is met.
• Be the custodian of Material Requirements Planning masterdata. This will include analysis of data to ensure system is maintained with the latest up to date masterdata to ensure effective inventory planning.
• Manage the customer order management team and processes to ensure effective service to customers and adherence to policies and procedures as determined by Regional Business Unit
• Review and update supply chain practices in accordance with new and/or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations and laws
• Ensure transportations routes are optimized and loads are consolidated
• Consolidate warehouses to ensure maximum efficiency and ensure costs are kept in line with budgets
• Facilitate material forecasting to key suppliers to ensure optimum supply
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management
• Project management experience (as a plus)
Technical & Professional Knowledge: 
• Freight management experience
