Purpose:
• Help the company achieve its business objectives by promoting the adoption of efficient and effective risk management.
• Acts as a liaison officer with the Group Risk Services concerning risk management practices being adopted across the group and within the company.
Functions & Duties:
• Assist the Head of Actuarial & Risk to establish and communicate the organisation’s ERM objectives and direction, risk appetite, risk limits and risk management policies.
• Maintain and develop documentation relating to Risk Management systems of governance.
• Quarterly production of internal ERM newsletter.
• Risk Committee preparation including notes, minutes and maintaining the required documentation.
• Maintain internal Risk Registers including preparation and delivery of Risk Register workshops and review sessions.
• Preparation and planning of rating agency submissions and presentations.
• Liaise with the rating agencies and consultants for rating and risk assessment.
• Act as a day to day contact on matters relating to Risk Management, Compliance and Business Continuity Management activities.
• Monitor and explain the rating agency capital calculations.
• Responsible for implementation and training of users in Risk Management software.

Business, Actuarial, Statistic, Finance or Risk Management.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong Actuarial/Statistical background
• Background in Data Mining, Refinement and Analytics
• Knowledge of market dynamics and industry trends.
• Strong Command in English Language, Arabic is a plus.

Chief Engineer

• Responsible for the overall management and
technical operations of the fleet. This includes overseeing the daily
operations of maintenance and repair, budgeting, survey schedules, on-board
general assessment of vessels, inspections and docking, etc.
• Ensuring Company owned and managed vessels are operated in a safe, efficient and economical manner and in full compliance with Class and Statutory regulations.
• Ensure that Vessels Planned Maintenance System (Engine Dept.) is being operated and reported in the manner prescribed in the QA system and is in compliance with the ISM Code and MLC 2006.
• Attend to vessel dry docking, repairs and survey when required and determine repair specifications for dry docking and maintenance.
• Perform evaluation for dry-docking, repair quotes and selection of shipyards for repair works, ship maintenance etc.
• Provide and compile documented reports upon completion of dry docking, including summaries of works performed, operational budgets, and actual expenditures.
• Perform budgeting and cost control measures on ship spares and docking requirements Identify and source for technical and operational supplies required for the vessels and ensure the rates are most economical.
• Liaising with the Purchasing Manager to ensure timely delivery of supplies, and that purchase requisitions are being tracked and expedited in a timely manner.
• Bringing to the attention of the General Manager any items which have the potential to disrupt operations. Ensure sufficient spares are carried.
• Ensure that all copies of statutory, SOLAS and equipment certificates (life rafts, compasses, etc.) are properly maintained and documented.
• Provide technical assistance and advice to ships both at home port and overseas.
• Perform monthly review of logs processes and attend to vessel inspections.
• Monitor technical status of vessel with relation to class cert and survey.
• Attend Annual audits as required by class.
• Maintain the technical database for the fleet.
• Investigating any accidents or incidents and preparing reports.
• Participating in vessel inspections and presentations as per schedule within the annual QHSE Plan, and providing accurate reports indicating vessels current equipment, machinery, structural and operational status.
• Ensure good safe working practices observed.
• Supervise contractors' repair/maintenance of vessels.
• Perform technical compliance audits and investigation on defects/failures on a regular scheduled basis to ensure conformance.
• Ensure that vessels carry the required publications, procedures, operational manuals, and other documentation required by Flag State and other regulatory bodies, and that these are updated as required.
• Work closely with the HSE Management team to ensure smooth and successful implementation of QHSE system and policies for the Division.
• Perform systematic review of recommended codes, guidelines and standards and ensure compliance with Quality & Safety Management standards.
• Ensure and maintain vessels' zero loss time accident record and to report a vessel incidents, near misses to prevent and eliminate potential incidents.
• Undertake any other Technical related assignments as and when required.
• Monitor crew compliance with STCW”95, MLC 2006 and other training requirements.
