The Role 
In the role of Finance Policies Manager, you will Develop Finance Procedures (including Policies, SOP/IAP) to provide guidance to Finance staff in Head Office and Outstations. In addition, you will develop an effective Delegation of Authorities (DOA) manual to enable effective and timely decision making across the Company.   * Develop clear and precise Finance Procedures (Policies, SOPs and Internal Accounting Procedures) ensuring the key risks associated with each procedure are adequately analysed and addressed.  * Proactively participate in defining strategies and long term planning for the Finance Policies function. Identify opportunities to enhance strategic role of the team and to add shareholder value. * Develop useful tools to survey the Business and Users’ requirements to formulate proposals, in order to evaluate the finance unit/department requirements to the proposed policies and procedures.  * Manage the communication process to the entire Finance staff at head office and outstation in regards to publication or changes in Finance Procedures. * Ensure Finance Procedures clearly define the roles and responsibilities of responsible staff or Units (as applicable), to ensure accountability to the respective staff or units.  * Ensure existing Finance Procedures are up to date and in line with the IFRS and/or industry standards. * Undertake ongoing analysis to identify any gaps in the documentation of Finance Procedures. Close the gaps by instigating the documentation of Finance Procedure with the concerned Finance Function. * Continuously review the DOA manual to ensure delegated authorities are in line with the changes in Organizational Structure (as applicable). * Undertake rigorous review of proposed changes to delegated authorities and ensure associated risks are adequately assessed.  * Ensure detailed assessment is performed over the relevance of authorities assigned to specific delegates in the DOA Tables. Summarize the changes/modifications to facilitate review process with the Executive Management. * Maintain detailed audit-trail to demonstrate integrity of review and transparency in the assessment of DOA proposals. * Assist in developing proposals for revision/amendment of finance or non-finance policies / procedures to align Company policies with the existing business requirements. * Collaborate with Internal Controls Team to develop / update Finance Procedures in order to address any Corrective Actions or lapses identified in internal controls. * Oversee and supervise at least 1 employee. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery. * Train and develop other employees, to ensure succession planning is in place. Provide training to Finance staff (HO and Outstations) to highlight the key principles defined in the new/revised Finance Procedures. 
Requirements 
You will have a University qualification at Bachelor's level or equivalent with preferably one of the following further qualifications:  * Masters of Commerce/Accounting, Masters of Business Administration (Accounting Major) from a recognised University. * Qualified CA / CPA / ACCA.   In addition, you will have 7 or more years’ experience in a similar role relating to Finance Policies (preferably from a multi-national organisation or the airline industry) with the following job specific skills:  * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Solid presentation skills including use of latest IT solutions to make dynamic presentation to stakeholders across the Network. * Strong ability to work in cross-culture environment, with teams spread across different geographies. * Sound understanding of Risk Management, Stakeholder Management and Corporate Governance. * Sound knowledge and experience in development of finance policies and procedures. * Sound knowledge, understanding and experience in application of International Accounting Standards / IFRS. * Proven ability to constantly meet tight deadlines, ensuring quality control, and attention to detail. * Must have excellent organizational ability to be able to set priorities, handle multiple responsibilities/work interruptions. * Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently with minimal instructions. * Must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of records and information. * Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.

This is a great opportunity to work with a client side on a large infrastructure project in Bahrain.  They are looking for a Mechanical Inspector to work in Bahrain.  Purpose of Position / Job Objectives To read and understand the Shop drawings and Method Statements and ensure the same is adhered to by the Contractor on site To ensure the standards of Safety and Quality are not compromised. To ensure the Contractor is following approved submittal, such as, but not limited to, Material Submittals, Method Statements, and Shop Drawings. To be aware of the Contractor’s short-term look-ahead programme, in order to prioritise areas which require most attention and plan for the surveillance with the others inspectors. To properly record the site daily events, and on-site modifications to facilitate the review of As-Built Documentation  Key Indicators / Success criteria Speed and accuracy to proceed with shop drawings review Speed and accuracy of reporting of site events and progress. Completeness of diaries and records. Accuracy of records. Efficiency of inspection schedules. Close-out of NCRs Efficiency of the tests and commissioning sessions Responsibility / Accountability Monitoring the Contractor’s activities and ensuring compliance with the Employer’s Requirements and approved documentation. Maintaining accurate and detailed records. Following the QA/QC plan and International and National Codes and Standards. Tasks Manage their own time and prioritise effectively, under the management of the relevant engineer. Read and understand project Specifications, Standards and Procedures. Relate Specifications and Codes to Method Statements and Site Inspections and actual site activities. Report accurately on events and findings from site visits and inspections.  Actively participate to the tests and commissioning procedures and sessions. Contact and coordination with the government authorities, and public utilities providers. Review documents submitted to ensure they comply with safe working practices and the Employer's Requirements. Assist with the management of submitted documents through the processes in place for review by design disciplines. Record events on site, progress and change. Observe and ensure safe working practices are maintained at all times. Know and follow Company procedures. Monitor and record progress and site issues. Understand the programme. Review the BIM model submitted by the Contractor on a regular basis, and check the conformity with the coordination expectation, in liaison with the Main Design office. Report to their assigned manager on regular basis and/or upon request. Adhere with the obligation of confidentiality of the project, and not disclose any information related to the project outside the site. Authority To stop with immediate effect, any activity that, in the judgement of the individual, constitutes an unacceptable risk to the safety of any person, or the environment. To advise the Contractor immediately if any activity is observed to be carried out in a manner that compromises the quality of the product, that the works may not be accepted as part of the permanent works. Reports Reports to the Engineer on a regular basis. Reports to the Resident Engineer upon request Communication Informal communication with the Contractor for technical, safety and quality matters. Official communication with the Contractor as per the Project Procedures No communication outside the project team is allowed unless approved by the Resident Engineer

The Role 
This is a position for an experienced Architect, someone with at least 15 years’ experience and has exposure to the Middle East market. You will be based in Kuwait City working with a very well established multi-disciplinary Consultancy. They are undertaking a 70 story high-rise project due to last 4 years. You will be tasked with working on the design, supervision and coordinating the project. 
Requirements 
Ideal candidate will currently be working on a similar project in a similar position, or have just finished a comparable project. At a minimum you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, those with Masters Degree or memberships of professional bodies will be preferred. Ideally you should be in the Middle East, but location will not be a barrier for the right candidate.  Salary is between Kwd.3300-3700 with extras including life insurance, medical insurance, relocation allowance and flights. Due to the time of year, interviews will be held during the first two weeks of January.
