The Role
Organize, conduct, and formally report on a scheduled audit / coordinate, monitor, the internal audit program for Agthia Group and its various business units; to ensure effective accounting and managerial controls, accuracy of recorded data and compliance with applicable laws and policies and procedures; 1. Ensure that audit fieldwork is properly and timely executed from process understanding to draft reporting. This includes monitoring the tasks assigned to Internal Auditors 2. Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the controls over the activities reviewed 3. Perform or participate in consultancy review as and when requested by the Audit Manager or Head of Internal Audit and Compliance 4. Perform the audit engagement in accordance with the Internal Audit Standard, and in line with the approved Internal Audit Manual and guideline provided by local authority (ADAA) 5. Contribute in promoting awareness on the role of Internal Control Department to management and employees of Agthia Group 6. Ensure continuing development of effective professional relationships with auditee personnel and major stakeholders 7. For each audit engagement, ensure that audit reports are submitted timely with minimal review points and revisions 8. Assist the Audit Manager in monitoring the action plans that are due for follow-up and perform follow-up review as and when requested by the Audit Manager or Head of Internal Audit and Compliance 9. Ensure that available audit tool is utilized whenever appropriate and the Audit Management System is used and updated for each audit engagement 10. Monitor and pursue departmental approved program for continuing education for self by highlighting the specific training needs to the Audit Manager or Head of Internal Audit and Compliance
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or at least have achieved or worked towards certification by examination Minimum Experience: • Should have 3-4 years of Auditing experience Functional Knowledge: • Knowledge of basic EDP audit techniques • Knowledge of laws, policies and procedures Job-Specific Skills: • Have special skills or knowledge and the ability to instruct, train, and develop others in those skills

Requirements
Paramount to success within this varied role will include; • Demonstrated experience and capability in a wide range of consultant agreements and construction contracts. • Demonstrated experience in complex projects from design through construction documents and implementation, including alternative forms of procurement. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven attention to detail. • Ability to maintain a positive client relationship and professional firm image. • Ability to understand, identify and assess project and contract risks. • Ability to prepare and manage project contracts. • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written communication. • Ability to organize, lead, and motivate people. To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum 15 years of broad-based engineering experience, commercial and project management experience, preferably in the region. Possessing a Bachelor in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying is essential whilst a Masters in Construction Law, LLB or similar is preferred. Bilingual communication skills in both English and Arabic are essential and interest from Omani Nationals will be warmly received.
