The Role
• Preparing

• Preparing and reviewing tender documents for EIAs

• Monitoring the implementation of the special terms of environmental Permits

• Ensuring that environmental and sustainability contractor deliverables (CEMP,OEMP, Sustainability Management Plan, Sustainability Design Report) comply with the Client's requirements and are delivered within required deadlines
• Leading regular environmental and sustainability meetings with Contractors and Consultants
• Monitoring implementation of Contractor plans, procedures, method statements and programs
• Conducting environmental audits and site inspections
• Reporting, investigating and rectifying environmental incidents and complaints
• Preparing monthly progress reports
• Participating and assisting with the coordingation of regular sustainability working group sessions

Requirements
• Bachelor’s
degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, biology or related
discipline with solid 8+ years of experience. Post-graduate degree preferred.
• Industry recognized environmental certifications from relevant organizations (e.g. ISO 14001 EMS lead auditor etc)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language; Arabic an asset.
• Keen eye for detail and quality.
• Knowledge of local, regional and international environmental regulations, standards and best management practices.
• Understanding of engineering design processes and construction planning and execution.
• Experienced in reviewing and managing deliverables of environmental consultants.
• Experienced in data analysis, review and evaluation of environmental survey data, reports and management plans.

Commissioning Engineer - Protection Relays

The Role
Your main
responsibilities will include;
• Commissioning of control and protection systems / devices (in coordination with customer representative)
• Ensure the correct functionality of the systems / devices in accordance with the specifications and the scope
• Conduct site acceptance test (SAT) and hand over the systems / devices to the customer.
• Proactive coordination and reporting with the project management (technical, organizational and financial)
• Active support for the project manager related to costs, resources, time schedules, additional business / support management.
• Local contact person for customers, consultants, main contractors, local contractors.
• Coordination with site manager for interface with other equipment (primary, auxiliary system etc.)
• Presence during meetings with customer / if required – negotiations and discussion with customer
• Supervision of safety regulations on site as per OHS safety instruction & policy. Ensure coordination with H&S responsible person on site. Report unsafe practices and incidents.
• Reporting like test protocols, daily commissioning log, weekly progress report, site acceptance test signed by the customer etc.
• Short term scheduling of activities in cooperation with the responsible person.
• Handle the customer for non-confirmation reports / pending item list.
• Maintain the documentation (red mark drawings, as delivered / as built, software back-ups) timely.
• Offsite responsibilities: Guide, lead, supervision, and support of the local commissioning engineers of the local product group.

Requirements
Ideally you
will have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of five
years’ experience in substation automation control and protection system
(Protection Relays). Previous or current work experience in the country and
work authorization from the local Electricity and Water Corporation is a must.
Knowledge of ABB products will be highly preferred.
