Our client is one of Hong Kong's most respected organisations and provides a fantastic platform for a long and fulfilling career Job Description The Senior Supply Chain Manager's primary role is to improve and ensure reliable end to end supply chain; strategic sourcing, purchasing and contract management of our clients Racing and Tracks Operations commodities in both Hong Kong and the region. You will manage a dedicated procurement team and contract management team that will handle all racing related contracts in the region as well as expand existing networks and cultivate key suppliers to support entry to the China market. You will look to develop a long term strategic plan to expand/consolidate the supply base and design a sourcing strategy to reduce import dependence. You will work closely with preferred vendors to ensure SLA's & reliability of supply chains are maintained. Wider scope in the role includes regular review of the supply market place for Racing, Tracks and Veterinary categories. Working in close relationship with our clients operational teams in these areas, to foster continuous improvement over compliance and total cost of ownership such as price and quality and maintenance, whilst simultaneously ensuring business as usual operations are met.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with very specific skill sets in procurement within Horse Racing operations who would be familiar working with Trainers, Stables and Racing, and comfortable advising on feed, bedding and veterinary products and all other racing related supplies. In addition a proven track record working with suppliers, distributors and driving benefit within supply chain management and working with global vendors is essential. We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to foster close relationships with key stakeholders whilst proactive, and continually seeking opportunities for improvement. Complete fluency in English is required.
