Client Profile: Our client, a reputed major overseas EPC Group with HQ in Dubai are urgently requiring experienced and competent Environment Engineer for their Oil & Gas process plant project in Kuwait.  Safety / Environment - Engineer   Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, Fire & Safety, Environment, Production, Industrial, Electrical) from a recognized and reputed university   Technical Certification (Mandatory): Must have successfully completed one or more certified HSE course(s) in any category of training in General Industrial Safety, Construction Safety, Environmental Management, industrial Hygiene, ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, IOSH, ASSE Certificate in Global Safety Management or equivalent courses, as appropriate to the designation.  Experience: Minimum 9 years experience as HSE Engineer in HSE field, out of which minimum two (2) years experience in Oil and Gas Industries.   Candidates having KOC approvals with previous employers will be added advantage.   Notes:  1. Client Profile: Our client, a reputed Engineering and Construction Company in the Middle East has an upcoming oil and gas project in Algeria. They are presently in need of design and engineering personnel as per following details.   During the detailed engineering phase the Employee will be based at Project Home Office in the Middle East. Subsequently, some employee will have to move to Algeria for Field Engineering service, if required, when he will be provided single accommodation, food and local transport by the company.  Job Duration: 12-15 months  
  
1. Design Engineer Process (Nos. 4)   Qualification: B.E. / B. Tech in Chemical Engineering, shall have Basic knowledge in HYSYS / PIPESIM and be well versed with MS Office.   Experience: 3 years and above, out of which minimum 2 years of experience shall be in Process Design & Detailed Engineering of Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical plants/ Pipelines. The role is to perform detailed engineering activities and preparation of relevant process engineering deliverables.   Key responsibilities and Accountabilities:  
  
Prepare and develop process deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, Process Data Sheets, Process Design Criteria, Design of relief and venting systems etc. 
Prepare Sizing Calculations such as Equipment Sizing, vessel sizing, Safety & relief valve sizing, Control Valve Sizing, Pump Hydraulic Calculations, Line Sizing 
Be familiar with Process simulation using HYSYS and Hydraulic analysis.  
Prepare datasheet for Equipments and Instruments. 
Prepare Utility Summary, Chemical Summary, Line List, Tie-in List and Equipment List 
Provide the process data for all type of process instruments like pressure, flow, temperature instruments etc. 
Provide process data to piping for valves, heat tracing, other special items datasheet  
Review the vendor documents and ensure that vendor document is in-line with contractual requirement and company specification  
Prepare documents and reports such as Process Description, Heat & Mass Balance, Process Design basis, Line list, Tie-in list, Equipment list, Utility summary, Operating & Control philosophy, Start-up & Shutdown Philosophy, Safeguarding Philosophy, Cause & Effect Diagram, and Relief & Blow down Philosophy etc.

 Qualification: B.E. / B. Tech in Fire Protection, Safety engineering Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or in similar Engineering field (Master Degree is Preferred)  Experience: 5 years and above, out of which minimum 3 years of experience shall be in Design & Detailed Engineering of Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical plants. The role is to carry out detailed engineering activities and preparation of relevant Loss Prevention engineering.   Key responsibilities and Accountabilities:  
  
Prepare and develop Loss Prevention deliverables such as PFD's, P&IDs, Process Data Sheets, Fire Fighting and safety Equipment Datasheets, Specification, Philosophys, Hydrant & Monitor location layout, Fire Fighting and Safety Equipment Layout, Escape Route and Safety Signs Layout, Passive Fire Protection Layout, Fire Water Line List, Fire & Gas Cause & Effect Matrix, Passive Fire Protection Schedule and Hazardous Area Classification Schedule etc. 
Prepare firewater demand and hydraulic calculation reports using PIPENET or equivalent software. 
Prepare and provide inputs to P&ID markups for Firewater ring main system and Deluge system including providing details of interconnection with hose reels, monitors, hydrants, Sprinkler System and deluge valves / nozzles. 
Prepare Fire fighting, safety equipment, clean agent system and emergency response vehicle material requisitions, TQ/ clarification and TBE. 
Review vendor and subcontractor submittals, checking for compliance with project specifications and providing comments as necessary. 
Check final vendor and subcontractor data manuals to ensure that all requested data has been received and approved. 
Prepare safety study scope of work, TQ/clarification, TBE and methodology.  
Participate safety workshops (such as HAZID/HAZOP/SIL) and provide inputs to safety study consultants. 
Coordinate safety study close outs and prepare safety study close out reports. 
Review third party safety study reports that are in compliance with project specifications. 
Prepare / Maintain safety study HSE Action Tracking Register 
Participation in Plot Plan Review and 3D Model Review Workshop to ensure that firefighting and safety equipment locations meet the project requirement. 
Perform conceptual, FEED, safety Studies, and detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes and standards. 
Clearly communicate and explain complex issues and work to establish understanding. 
Perform design verification through single-discipline check / inter-discipline check (IDC). 
Provide inputs to other discipline, vendor and safety studies consultants as required. 
Provide technical direction and review of Designers producing drawings/documents related to Fire Protection & Safety Engineering. 
Raise technical queries to obtain missing information, clarify work scope, and to maintain preferred Company/project procedures, specifications, standards, practices and operational requirements. 
Identify changes to scope and promptly raise change notifications, including providing any necessary supporting documentation and estimates. Provide similar support for Variation Orders 
Participate in internal, Customer and third party technical audits on engineering deliverables and vendor documents. 
Be familiar with International Standards NFPA, Shell DEP, IP, API,BS And UL/FM for Fire Protection/Detection System and Sonatrach Algeria company Standards & Specification.

Tech Electrical & Electronics / Power Systems  Experience: 5 years and above, out of which minimum 3 years of experience shall be in Design & Detailed Engineering of Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical plants. The role is to carry out Design and Detailed engineering of Documents and Drawings from concept to completion for deliverables

The role is to carry out and oversee design and detailing of instrumentation and control system.  
 Key responsibilities and Accountabilities:  
Supervise a team of engineers and designers in carrying out Instrument detailed engineering works and provide necessary technical procurement assistance in compliance with tender specifications/data sheets and within budgeted man-hour and project schedules. 
Review contract requirements for project execution, organize the preparation of the Engineering Document Drawing Register (EDDR), identify requirements and scope of work; review specifications Process Data Sheets (PDS), Piping Material Specifications (PMS), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Plot plans, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Review Philosophies, Area Classification Drawings, Fire and Gas Detector Layout Drawings and other relevant documents. Establish contract review criteria, identify and resolve discrepancies and divergences from original proposal through the instigation of technical queries to projects/client.
