The Role
The purpose of this position is to lead a team of housekeepers to provide a safe, well maintained and clean environment within the premises of the Dubai Tram in line with clients and passengers expectations and performance target. Structure and reporting relationship: Housekeeping supervisor will be reporting to Assistant Cleaning Manager in line with day to day key responsibility of the housekeeping supervisor position within premises of Dubai Tram and assist the Assistant Cleaning Manager overseeing the day to day cleaning and facilities operation where and when require. Key Responsibilities • Management and supervision of cleaning staff to ensure they deliver the cleaning standards within the premises of Dubai Tram; • Planning, Supervision and delivering cleaning services within the premises of Dubai Tramsuch as trams and depots to achieve client’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI) targets; • Arrange cover for shortages and absenteeism of cleaning staff on daily basis and ensure that relief staff are deployed on shift to cover the gaps. Complete KPI forms accordingly. • Report faults to large equipment supplier in case of faulty equipment; • Responsible for keeping the cleaning equipment in good condition; • Ensure that cleaning chemicals are stored in accordance with ‘Aspects and Impacts Register’ • Ensure that cleaning staff are performing cleaning activities as per the workflow and special Cleaning Calendar is updated within specified area of responsibility; • Ensure that incident/accidents or other such issues related to cleaning within stations, depots, car parks and trains are reported and resolved in a timely manner; • Ensure all departmental documentation is completed accurately; • Ensure adequate purchase of cleaning products on a monthly basis; • Provide any necessary training for the staff; • Manage and control stock of cleaning consumables and supplies & ensure that stock holding levels are maintained all the time. • Monitor the services provided by the Waste Management, Pest control, Feminine Hygiene and laundry subcontractor within specified area of responsibility and provide feedback; • Follow safe working procedures and instructions personally and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and look out for the safety of others. • Assist in detailing the cleaning records and any other associated duties as appropriate; • Perform shift and emergency duties when required; • Perform and carry out other duties as instructed / directed by the senior management at Dubai Tram Operation Department. SAE Responsibilities and Information Security Responsibilities • Awareness of the Integrated Management System and the content of the Health, Assurance & Environment and Information Security Policy Statements; • Understanding of personal responsibilities and contribution to achieving compliance with the Integrated Management System requirements, (including but not limited to competence to perform safety critical roles, legal requirements, control measures arisen from environmental impacts and aspects, job safety analysis and information security risk assessment) and the potential consequences of departure from the arrangements in place to deliver the commitments stated in the policies statements above; • To exercise a personal duty of care for their own health, safety and welfare and for those affected by their acts or omissions; • To use safety equipment (including PPE) as required and intended and observe that this is also enforced among subcontractors and third parties working in Serco’s controlled premises/systems • Promote a good SAE and Information Security culture among their peers, subcontractors and third parties; • Lead by example and look at ways to conserve energy, water and resources and minimise the generation of waste through personal performance and raise recommendations on how to improve existing processes on this regard within/outside their departments through their Line Manager, Departmental Safety Meetings and any other appropriate available channels; • Protect information assets and data including both electronic and paper based from all threats whether internal, external, deliberate or accidental; • Promote a good SAE and Information Security culture among their peers, subcontractors and third parties. Safety Critical Competencies • Ensure safe systems of work, particularly in the control of hazardous substances and specialist cleaning materials, are adhered to.
Requirements
• Ideally a degree holder or higher diploma of post-secondary education in a related discipline. Skills • Ability to supervise a team of cleaners with an aim to meet the committed performance target of cleanliness in a cost effective and efficient manner; • Good interpersonal and people skills, and a mature, methodical and responsible approach to work; • Must have strong supervisory skills and ability to plan work priorities effectively; • Strong organisational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities; • Ability to demonstrate both good literacy and numeracy skills required for the role. Principal Building Code Reviewer/ICC (Western Expat)

The Role
Principal Objective Provide technical support to Engineering Department in the review of building codes for development and execution of various projects related to communities and infrastructure projects. To provide necessary technical expertise including evaluations of specific code topics as applied to a project, or special studies of particular building components, characteristics or applications. From high-rise commercial buildings and retail facilities to residential developments, schools, hospitals and civic institutions, also offers Technical Consulting. Whenever questions arise related to the technical aspects of the ICC International Codes or other related code. Organizational Relationship Building Code Reviewer will report to the Principal Supervising Architect. He will interact with and support efforts with other disciplines in the Engineering Department. Major Activities Performed 1. Familiarizes with all Saudi Building codes and Royal Commission standards, General Design Criteria and Technical Guidelines, standard drawings and standard guide specifications 2. Review of initial design code compliance including use and occupancy classification, type of construction, height and area calculations, means of egress, fire-resistance construction requirements and foundation design. 3. Review of A/E contractor specifications, technical reports, and work with other disciplines and departments to review plans to ensure they meet the local, national and international codes as applicable. 4. Review construction drawings for code violations and report those to the supervisor. 5. Works with other Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth in the Quality Improvement Process. 6. Provides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses. 7. Provide response and technical solutions to RFI’s raised by Contractors, Operation and Maintenance and other departments in the Royal Commission. 8. Must work well within a dynamic team and serve as a technical consultant to the client.
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with major course work in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field of study. Must possess International Code Council (ICC) certification or equivalent. 2. Possess International Code Council (ICC) certification as a Residential Combination Inspector which includes all four level 1 ICC certifications in Building (B1), Electrical (E1), Mechanical (M1), and Plumbing (P1); ICC Commercial Building Inspector (B2) and at least one additional ICC certification at the level 2 (Commercial) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing. Certifications must be maintained per ICC requirements. ICC Combination Inspector (Commercial and Residential) certification preferred. 3. Minimum 10 years of experience in developing and reviewing code violations for buildings and infrastructure projects. Must have a general broad based knowledge of both buildings and infrastructure type projects. 4. Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, architectural, NFPA, IBC, or other construction codes and design requirements a plus. 5. Must be able to take a set of building construction plans and specifications, and review for code violations prior to construction to assist the engineering department in plan review. 6. Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders and government authorities plus developers, consultants and contractors working within the area under study or adjacent areas. 7. International Code Council (ICC) certification, Professional Engineer (PE) registration, American Institute of Architects (AIA) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred. 8. Provides information to contractors, engineers, architects, property owners, business owners and the general public regarding code requirements and the permit process. 9. Must demonstrate continual progression of experience and expertise in relevant discipline. 10. Ability to demonstrate precise, comprehensive and technically accurate written communication skills. Strong skills in technical writing. 11. Previous experience working in the Middle East is preferred. 12. Strong database skills a plus. 13. Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is a plus. 14.
