Structure and reporting relationship:

Key accountabilities
Daily tasks:
• General Administration.
• Maintenance of accurate filing system.
• All computer related jobs like preparing formats, scanning, statements, data-entry, general correspondence, and e-mails.
• Answer and direct calls for Undersecretary, take messages and deal with as appropriate
• Attend to all correspondence as directed by the Undersecretary
• Administrative support to Serco GM with staff related requirements.
Administrative Duties:
• Responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Undersecretary, including diary management, official letters, emails, reports, minutes of meetings and maintenance of action registers.
• Support, if required, ongoing projects in the Directorate with filing documentation etc.
• Update and follow – up Aviation Security Work Plan Activity, Safety Monthly Report, Aeronautical Monthly Licensing Report, ALD documentation review.
• Update the incoming and outgoing correspondence log sheet regularly to flag important/urgent issues which need immediate action.
• Check supply inventory bi-weekly and re-order as needed to avoid shortages.
• Support safety Directorate/team in drafting, formatting and circulation of letters, circulars, ANTR’s, NOTAMs, and Directives.
• Assist in preparing draft and proof read the technical documents and publishing.
Flexibility and Changes:
It is a condition of employment that all employees undertake any task, within any department or area, that they are directed to perform which is relevant to carrying out the business of Serco Bahrain and is within the competence and ability of the employee. Technical Contract Manager is responsible for the management of all the maintenance related contracts to ensure contractual obligations are fore filled and meet the customer requirements..
Key Job Responsibilities
• Ensure suppliers, subcontractors, partners and maintenance provider delivers contractual obligations to the customers through effective contract management with stake holders, With the aim of providing practical contractual solutions to resolve any issues or improvements.
• This will include the management of the ongoing obligations in the CAF contracts and variations for the supply of the passenger trainsets.
• Ensure that all contract payments are compliant with contract terms, supported by relevant document and appropriate processes are in-place. Liaise with relevant stakeholders within SAR.
• Assist the maintenance organisation with the development of the budget and manage relevant budget
• Anticipate, prepare and manage claims and counter claims. Represent the maintenance management in all areas related to the contractual aspects of all contracts.
• Manage and control any variations to the contract and liaise with relevant stakeholders within SAR.
• Implement regime to ensure compliance processes and procedures.
• Develop and implement a KPIs pack for the maintenance teams for contract management, including compliance with contractual requirements. Including any potential variation/claim/breach of contractual obligations that could generate substantial costs or revenues.
• Raise to the attention of an in-house lawyer any issue requiring legal advice, i.e. matters exceeding the clear intention; requiring interpretation of terms or contract applicable law.
• Review trends and feedback and develop ongoing plan to drive continuous improvement of the services provided.
• Ensure all documentation, records and computer systems are complete and accurate. Including setup and management of the contractual correspondence and contractual information.
• Provide practical assistance to the maintenance team to manage and solve day to day issues and ensure relevant and staff are aware of the contract requirements.

Track Technician

Key purpose
Based on permanent night shift, the purpose of this position is to provide effective engineering and maintenance services covering the track and related infrastructure for Dubai Metro.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Track Team Leader in carrying out all level of preventive and corrective maintenance activities and minor modifications on track and related infrastructure, including inspection of mainline and depot running rail, inspection of turnouts and points, inspection of fastening system and buffer stops, inspection of third rail, inspection of the rail corridor, rail renewals, installation, and rail grinding;
• Carry out maintenance of the track system components;
• Perform roles necessary for the management of the safe system of works, including to meet tight maintenance schedules;
• Shunt and drive engineering maintenance vehicles and/or locomotives equipped with rail grinding machinery, electric arc welding tools, and ultrasonic track inspection equipment for track inspection and maintenance, operate rail grinding machinery, electric arc welding tools and other plant machinery in the workshop;
• Liaise with other disciplines to enable space co-ordination along the main line including tunnels shafts, carry out site visits, topographical and gauging survey, inspection of track work and condition monitoring;
• Follow the appropriate maintenance procedures and instructions to ensure compliance with the requirements;
• Maintain accurate maintenance records of permanent way and related infrastructure, work accomplished and other information using a computerised maintenance management system;
• Assist the Track Team Leader and/ or other technical support staff to implement complex systems or new projects;
• Ensure the maintenance tools and equipment are maintained in good condition both before and after job activities;
• Perform shift and emergency duties when required;
• Attend all safety related training courses or refresher training courses as required;
• Perform and carry out duties as instructed/ directed by the Track Team Leader and other senior Track Maintenance staff.

• Holder of a valid UAE driving license with a good driving skill and experience.

• Minimum 1 year work experience as a qualified electrical, mechanical, or electro-mechanical technician in the maintenance of track works, such as rail renewals and installation work, rail inspection work, track maintenance equipment operation, rail welding work and machine operations on mainline and depot tracks and associated infrastructure (including cuttings, embankments, fences, etc.) is highly preferable;
