The Role
Key Responsibilities: • Play an active role in the development and implementation of the Integrated Management System requirements within their Department and provide the leadership to ensure that contents of Environment, Health & Safety and Information Security Policy Statements are known and understood by their staff. • Produce and manage the project HSE plan according to local legislation, corporate and project requirements. • Support project team with guidance on method statements and writing of risk assessment. • Provide input into the development of the Environment, Health & Safety and Information Security management system. • Carry sub-contractor HSE audits and prequalification analysis. • To exercise a duty of care for the health, safety and welfare of Thales project staff and our sub-contractors • Ensure that a good HSE and Information Security culture is promoted within the project and among peers; • Lead by example and ensure that ways to conserve energy, water and resources and minimize the generation of waste are identified • Protect information assets and data including both electronic and paper based from all threats whether internal, external, deliberate or • accidental; • Promote a good HSE and Information Security culture among the project departments and peers; • Conduct regular reviews on the HSE and Information Security Performance and seek ways to continually improve. • Carry out regular HSE tours and inspections. • Liaise with customer and The Engineer to ensure project HSE project requirements are met. • Maintain project HSE reporting information.
Requirements
• 10 years of Experience in project HSE and at least 5 years as a HSE Manager • Experience in Design and Build Projects for Airport construction • Security Systems and Communication Solutions is a great asset • Degree in construction related role • Qualifications in HSE Management (minimum NEBOSH) and ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 auditing (lead Auditor Certified).

The Role

The Role
The Biomedical Engineering department is responsible for the oversight and management of all patient care equipment and associated technology deployed at our client hospital. It is responsible for providing quality and timely support by planning, organizing, controlling and coordinating medical technology within the framework of existing policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. The Clinical Systems Engineer is responsible for the full coordination related to the functional testing, repair/ maintenance and programming of all medical equipment integration issues as they relate to the hospitals CIS/EHR systems at SMRC. Functions as the departments IT integration expert for medical equipment into all clinical areas as well as for support of the IEC 80001-1:2010 standard for the application of risk management for IT-networks incorporating medical devices. Manages integration projects involving areas of operating systems, system administration, software development, network security/protocol, provides direct technical support for all medical equipment integration problems and liaises with the IT department for issues determined to be in their scope of responsibility. Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Electronic/ Biomedical Engineering Degree. • 5+ years work experience with the IEC 80001-1 standard gained from working in a hospital • Medical device integration experience with CERNER's CIS. • Extensive experience of computers and servers or at least MCSE 2000 qualification. • Thorough understanding of PC and network hardware using the latest operating systems, network protocols and standards. • 3+ years' experience in the support and deployment of medical equipment requiring integration to CIS/EHR systems (including hardwired, LAN, WLAN and medical telemetry based systems). • Full understanding of the IEC 80001-1 standard • Combinations of education and experience will be considered. • Multicultural workplace experience. • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot network problems with industry specific test equipment. • Demonstrated ability to differentiate a medical device related IT data transfer problem from an IT network problem. • Demonstrated ability to function at committee level for expert advice (as a super user) for medical device integration requirements. • Familiar with the JCIA, AAMI, ECRI, NFPA, ANSI, FDA, etc. and the ability to implement the latest standards. • Proficient with Office programs including Visio and Project. • Fluency in written and spoken English. Description • UNIT DESCRIPTION:SURGICAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (SICU) • NO. OF BEDS:3 SCOPE OF SERVICE: • SICU provides care for surgical patients who are not severely ill requiring short-term ventilatory management, observation and in reversible state, who had surgery that includes craniotomy, abdominal surgery, aorto-femoral bypass, renal transplant, and any patient post-operatively that has an underlying medical condition that requires close monitoring", except patients post cardiac surgery. The SICU provides 24 hours coverage post anaesthesia nursing care for all adult patients aged above 14 years old. FREQUENT PROCEDURES / SERVICES / FUNCTIONS: • The SICU utilizes numerous nursing diagnostic and therapeutic modalities to facilitate patient care, including the following: • Nursing process (ongoing multi-system physical and psychosocial assessment, planning, intervention, education, and evaluation) • Invasive hemodynamic monitoring • Mechanical Ventilation • Cardiac Monitoring • Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy • IV Therapy • Fluid and electrolyte balance and replacement • Blood and blood component administration • Airway management • Skin care • Pain management Patient Controlled Analgesia, Epidural Analgesia • Administration of pharmacological agents • Emergency resuscitation procedures • Management of post operative drains and wound care • Safety management • Infection Control • Chemotherapy HOURS OF OPERATION: • 24 hours a day, 7 days a week CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION AND TRANSFER FROM SERVICE: • SICU patients ONLY admitted from OR, those patients required to have at least one of the following requirements: • Post operatively patient that need frequent observation and / or intervention. • Post operatively patient that need invasive / intensive monitoring, without anticipation of possible aggressive interventions. • Post operatively patient that need life support measures and monitoring equipment, usually following: • Vascular surgery • Airway surgery • Craniofacial surgery • Mandibular Surgery • Orthopaedic and spine surgery • General surgery • Neurosurgical procedures • Renal Transplant • Post operatively patient that requiring short-term ventilatory management • Only post surgical patients to be admitted to SICU. • No emergency surgical admission to SICU • Surgeries booking must be through the covering anaesthesia team in collaboration with the Head nurse.
