Job Purpose
Oversee the construction supervision consultant and package contractors for assigned training sites. Review and monitor project progress and completion in accordance with overall project plan. Coordinate with supervision consultant and contractors to ensure compliance with Contract and Quality, Schedule, security and HSE requirements. Coordinate with all stakeholders and proactively work with the contractor to facilitate approvals.
Responsibilities and Major Activities
• Review the contractors schedule to perform the construction activities in logical steps and budget time and resources required to meet deadlines.
• Review and approve the contractors Project Execution Plan (PEP)
• Oversee CSC to ensure consultants and contractors design proposals are reviewed for compliance with best practice and contract requirements.
• Participate in Value Engineering reviews and identify opportunities for cost saving in the infrastructure and building works.
• Oversee CSC to ensure design and construction and comment on compliance with building specifications, safety codes and other regulations.
• In collaboration with the CSC review contractors Project Execution Plan and approve work procedures, methods and logistics plans.
• Monitor the CSC and contractors to ensure site works are executed in accordance with the agreed PEP and the schedule.
• In conjunction with the SC HSE Officer ensure the contractors undertake the infrastructure and building works in accordance with the approved Safety Plan.
• Review contractors proposed actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site which include overall risk management actions.
• In conjunction with the CSC confer with contractors to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems
• Ensure appropriate usage and application of the Project Management System (PMS) with respect to entry and analysis of work related data for day to day functioning to facilitate seamless communication of all relevant (technical/non-technical) information across the organization on a real time basis for maximum effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the Planning Engineer to ensure timely preparation of various progress and cost tracking reports.
• Present reports to the Project Manager and SC as required.
• Follow up with relevant parties for corrective, preventive and defect repair actions.
• Collaborate with the Senior QS to review work completed and valuations for payments
• Coordinate the interfaces between the contract packages and manage resolution of issues.
• Liaise with Project Manager and SC for critical decisions as required.
• Oversee CSC to investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
• Monitor and analyze reports on scope, quality, cost, and time to determine if the project is on track.

Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in civil engineering or related engineering degree
• Minimum of 10 years of related field engineering experience, or a broad general engineering background is required.
• Preferably a member of a professional engineering body, for example chartered engineer, professional engineer etc.
• Knowledge of different international standards and codes
• Travel to multiple sites across Qatar

Major Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly credit cards reconciliation on all business units
- Prepare monthly Bank Statements reconciliations on all business units
- Manage bank files and ensure completeness and follow up of documents

- Prepare AR, revenue and bank disclosures in the reporting package
- Prepare a detailed active log for bonds to be submitted on a monthly basis and on a need basis.
