Job Description 
Prime Responsibilities  o Responsible to ensure the overall safety of the project site works o Develop HSE documentation for proposals o Should be aware of HSE studies during design stage of projects o Develop HSE Plan for Projects o Implement and monitor HSE Plan at sites o Should be fully aware of National & International HSE regulations o Conduct HSE promotion activities o Carry out safety inspections, audits and monitor closure of recommendations  Shared cross-functionally  o Participate in HSE studies for projects o To work in close coordination with Project Team & Clients o Assist resolving HSE relevant concerns and make recommendations in respect of safety improvement o Propagate safety through leaflets, memos, reports, poster, notices etc. o Conduct Safety Meetings involving client as well as sub-contractor personnel regularly to discuss site safety performance and other safety issues o Initiate Tool Box Talks on daily basis with all crew, prior to start of work and maintain on daily basis o Develop and conduct training sessions for employees & contract personnel o Should be aware of behaviour based safety systems and implement them at project sites o Develop MIS for Project and for Business Units

The Role 
Our client, a green field project for poultry “Broiler” production in Sultanate of Oman is planning to build 240 broiler houses, each house is 127m x 14m including the service area. Each house will accommodate 36,000 birds. This role is for an experienced individual looking to take the next step in their career. The Broiler Farm Manager will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing policies and practices for operation of the broiler farms, ensuring attainment of goals and profitable operation.   RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Include but not limited to the following:   During planning and construction: First two years  • Assist in planning, procurement of machineries, supervision of the broiler houses construction and machineries erection and commissioning.  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility  • Ensure resource availability and allocation  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs  • Report and escalate to management as needed  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation   At Operation period - After commissioning  • Directs day-to-day operations of scheduling live birds to be processed.  • Trains and develops supervisors and field technicians.  • Performs daily evaluations of route and farm broiler performance as it relates to live costs.  • Directs programs for growing broilers  • Communicates daily with the processing plant manager  • Monitors adherence to established programs by personnel and contractors.  • Directs the placement of new chicks and the ordering of crucial supplies.  • Monitors day-to-day flock health and plant efficiency.  • Ensuring all aspects of running the farm are met  • Maintaining safe working practices  • Ensuring welfare of livestock  • Ventilation management  • Feed management  • Vaccinations 
Requirements 
• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Poultry Science, Agricultural Science, Biology, Management or related field from an accredited institution OR 15 years equivalent education and experience.  • Has experience in Building new broiler houses plants  • Typically requires 8-10 years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience in poultry grow-out operations.  • 5-8 years’ experience supervising others.  • Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook). SAP/oracle experience preferred.  • Strong communication skills.  • Extensive maintenance knowledge (e.g. electrical, mechanical, PLC operations, heating and cooling, hydraulics, etc.).  • Previous Broiler houses management in the Middle East experience.  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus   DESIRED SKILLS:  • Poultry science knowledge.  • Interpersonal communication skills.  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate people.  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial terms and reporting.  • Organizational skills, with attention to detail.  • Demonstrated sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Project   DESIRED PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS:  • Understand and interpret data while drawing logical conclusions based on available inputs.  • Critical thinking skills in standardized situations as well as non-routine problems.  • Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and prioritize work accordingly.  • Basic reasoning skills and carries out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form.
