Charterhouse is working with a leading engineering consultant who is looking to hire a Lead Electrical and Civil Engineer to work on a solar PV plant in the Gulf region.This is an excellent opportunity to work with the leading consultants.
You will work on-site as part of the owners engineering team, monitoring the quality of all solar PV engineering activities. You will also provide expert technical advice as well as document all solar PV engineering activities.

The successful candidate should possess a bachelors Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, renewables Masters would be an advantage. You should also have previous experience of working as a lead engineer on a PV power plant.

Charterhouse is working with an Oil and Gas giant who is looking to hire a HR Representative to be based on-site in Bahrain.

You will have sole HR responsibility for everything operations and administration based and will report in to the HR Director in the UAE. You will be responsible for onboarding and contract administration, managing visa and government processes, maintaining the HR database, collaborating with recruitment in terms of exits and new hires and report writing.
The successful candidate should be Degree educated in human resources or a relevant field and have previous experience working as a HR administrator or Assistant. You should also have full working knowledge of MS Office applications.

This role requires someone to work in a diverse culture, often on-site. Our client has stated a preference for a male Bahraini national. Fluent written and spoken Arabic is a necessity.

Project Manager

Charterhouse is working with an EPC in Qatar who is involved in Oil and Gas projects. Our client is looking to hire a Project Manager who will report to the Construction Manager and be responsible for the planning, organisation and control of the project. 

Duties will include developing the master plan for executing and controlling the project as well as writing project procedures to govern all project activities agreed with the Quality Manual. You will oversee the development of the basic project design criteria and general specifications and establish the quality control procedures. 

In addition, you will issue the Project Quality Plan (PQP) within the first 30 days of the project, using 'holds' where necessary and using the PQP as the basis for staff orientation sessions. You will regularly monitor the systems to control project costs, schedule and quality to ensure that they are working effectively in meeting project objectives. You will approve all expenditures and commitments for the project within any limits which may be set by the senior management and company policy.
The successful candidate should have a relevant engineering Degree and have strong leadership qualities. You should have previous experience of taking a project from cradle to grave. It is essential you have a minimum of 2 years experience of working on projects in Qatar. Due to visa restrictions on the site, there is an age limit of 50. Our client has stated a preference for an Arab national, however other nationalities will be considered with the right experience.

Charterhouse is working with a leading hospitality group within the UAE. Our client is expanding their business and is looking to hire a Head Sushi Chef for a globally recognised Japanese fusion restaurant brand.
As a Head Sushi Chef you will have to manage a team of 10 to 15 Chefs and have the ability to run the sushi kitchen as well as be a valued contributor to the restaurant. 
This role needs someone that has excellent team spirit and leadership skills.

The successful candidate should have at least 4 years experience as a Speciality Sushi Chef or Head Sushi Chef in Asia as well as a strong background in Sushi. Ideally you should have progressed in your career to the level of Speciality Sushi Chef or Head Sushi Chef. 

As the cuisine of the restaurant is Japanese fusion and the role is specialised in Sushi, preference will be given to individuals who are trained in Asia and who have performed a similar role or looking for the next step up in their career.
