In this role you will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to GSE (Ground Support Equipment) and other fleet vehicles in order to provide a safe, reliable and cost effective fleet to end-users
Also you will be responsible for Identifying faults/defects and performs repair to: engines; transmissions; brakes; electrical; hydraulics; air-conditioning and other components included into systems equipment and vehicles.
Utilizes reference materials such as drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, and technical publications during the maintenance process.
Uses automated maintenance data systems to document repairs and monitor maintenance trends.
Ensures that all work performed or activities that occurred during the work shift are accurately documented and forwarded to workshop office at the end of the shift or otherwise as instructed by management.To be considered in this role you must have minimum 2 years of job-related experience required, post high school training (apprentice, certificate)Read, write, speak and understand the English Language

* Consult with airline representatives in order to develop the departments future strategy in terms of customer focus
* Implement corrective action plans based on non-conformance reports with an aim to continuously reduce number of reports received
* Establish a cleaning and preventive maintenence schedule for all equipment to efficiently conduct the required operation at QACC

Management & Leadership

* Establish the department and Airline Services Manager's objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives and needs
* Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed
* Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop, and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery

Development


* Take responsibility for own ongoing personal development and growth of expertise keeping self-updated with latest development and technology pertaining to the department
* Train and develop and coach the Airline Services Managers for proper succession planning abd risk management
* Assist in the response to any emergency or a major operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways or its subsidiaries, including support of the Qatar Airways Assistance Program

In this role as a System Engineer, you will be responsible to manage & support the Windows IIS servers and application troubleshooting. We support an environment of over 1000 servers and across multiple countries including both virtual and physical server environments.

Work tasks include: Windows IIS and server maintenance and troubleshooting, IIS Upgrades, web application troubleshooting, VB Scripting, Deployment of Applications, Websites creation and maintenance in the Standalone, Clusters environment.

In this role you must have expert knowledge of Windows IIS and server maintenance and troubleshooting, IIS Upgrades, web application troubleshooting, VB Scripting, Deployment of Applications, Websites creation and maintenance in the Standalone, Clusters environment in:
• Websites are integrated with Open Single Signon and OTP agents
• Application Request Routing (ARR) to implement a Forward and reverse proxy server for multiple back-end applications
• Ability to diagnose and resolve performance or application issues on Windows IIS servers (6.x/7.x/8.x) and sharepoint servers.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft Server configuration or performance issues.
• Install various certs on web servers including Verisign, PKI , external vendor, and code signing certs.
• Managing daily , weekly SSL certificates renewal, expiry and implementation.
• Managing Federated certificates with external vendors
• Ability to manage multiple tasks including Incident/Ticket management, Upgrades, and Deployments.
• Ability to work across teams to resolve issues and outages.
• Reduction in time to restoration of service outages
• Root cause identification and ultimate remediation of issue
• Pre-determination of issues before they become outages
• Monthly operational metrics relative to performance, capacity, trending or lifecycle statistics
• On Call Support for after business hours and weekend
• 5+ years of IIS Administration, Windows OS Administration, Web application troubleshooting
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, in which 4+ years’ experience in IIS administration, installation and configuration.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server 2008 / 2012, load balancers, general networking and firewall concepts.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with IIS log analysis. IIS core analysis, IIS debug log analysis.
• Experience designing and architecting web servers with clustering and / or load balancing technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• ITIL concepts
• Good knowledge on products like final builder
• Good knowledge on opensource deployment tools for deployment automation (know how to automate day to day operations task in to automation)
• Windows Administration, .Net, scripting, VB scripting

Additional responsibility to manage and support Apache Tomcat and RedHat Jboss application server administration on Linux platform with basic shell scripting.
To be successful in this role, you must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in IT or equivalent. You must have minimum 5+ years of job-related experience. You must have experience in providing support for all aspects of Middleware(Windows IIS/.net/Tomcat/Jboss Platform). Strong knowledge on Windows IIS platform is mandatory.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the Revenue Budget for the prescribed portfolio of accounts. This will include developing a successful, consistent approach to local and international dealing, which drives maximum revenue and minimum cost of sale. You will gain maximum value for the airline by negotiating Commercial Agreements between parties. You will also engage in joint sales and marketing activity to grow the level and quality of QR revenue sold through these partners and drive efficiencies in the distribution processes. 

Specific accountabilities include:
• Contributing to the formulation and implementation of QR sales strategy to maximise short and long term revenue opportunities, reduce cost of sales and generating channel shift where appropriate
• Reviewing QR sales data with account portfolio to drive revenue and seek out tactical revenue opportunities
• Managing and coordinating projects and initiatives on behalf of area of responsibility
• Developing tactical sales and marketing activity in support of sales opportunities in both Trade Partners and Corporate market place
• Representing QR at trade events, promotions and sales functions, including supporting educational and familiarisation visits
• Performing other related functions, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
To be successful in this role, you will need Trade or Vocational qualification combined with a minimum of four years airline sales experience working directly for an airline, or within an Agency or TMC environment. Prior exposure to QR systems, such as the Amadeus GDS system, and the ability to interpret available data would be advantageous. You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with the ability to influence the negotiation of commercial contracts. You will be a team player, with strong organisational, planning and time management skills combined with good commercial awareness and business acumen. The ability to analyse and interpret data and then articulate to external customers is required.

You will need to be fluent (written and oral) in English to be effective in this role.

As the Airport Services Duty Officer, you will be responsible for the overall control of the shift as a direct representative of the Airport Services Duty Manager. You will monitor the activities of the various sections at the airport and coordinate with other areas. You will ensure punctuality and safety of all Qatar Airways operations.

Specific accountabilities include:
• Acting as a liaison between airport service providers and users and monitoring the day to day operations
• Providing input and recommendations to management to improve the effectiveness of the daily operations
• Ensuring passenger and aircraft handling practices confirm to safety and security requirements
• Managing and controlling manpower on the shift in order to optimise utilisation and to maintain staff moral and discipline
