Requirements

The Role 
Reports To: Warehouse Head  JOB PURPOSE Oversee the operations of Maintenance and HSSE units in within the warehouse in line with the company’s strategic objectives.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Roles & Responsibilities: • Implement Facilities Management department objectives in line with the company’s business strategy. • Support the development of Facilities Management department policies and procedures, performance indicators, and overall quality of Warehousing operations. • Manage the warehouse Maintenance and HSSE units’ operations performance and prepare reports to share with direct managers where required. • Develop and update security plans, business continuity plans and crisis management plans, and policies and procedures, in accordance with best practices and ensure their implementation. • Recommend plans, programs and initiatives to improve unit performance and level of productivity. • Implement set procedures and work programs as well as execute agreed plans, programs and initiatives to improve unit performance and level of productivity. Operational Roles & Responsibilities: • Manage the Maintenance and HSSE units within the warehouse facility. • Ensure that all Facilities Management staff within the warehouse operate in accordance with operating procedures and policies. • Manage and maintain warehouse infrastructure including the set up and management the space, oversight all operations within warehouse. • Ensure the provision of effective and efficient administration and facilities management services within the warehouse. • Support the development of the annual administration and facilities budget and plan. • Manage all maintenance contracts and outsourced contracts and services relating to warehouse operations. • Implement HSSE policies and procedures and raise awareness to enhance safety culture. • Ensure HSSE risks are identified, assessed, managed and minimised as low as reasonably practicable to warehouse facility operations. • Continuously drive the improvement of warehouse HSSE performance through inspections, site tours, briefings and initiatives, as well as monitoring of progress through regular evaluation and assessment. • Ensure warehouse compliance with legal obligations with regards to regulatory HSSE legislation and standards. • Minimize negative impact of warehouse activities and operations on environment and society. • Provide technical support in security/risk assessments; scenario planning, security plan development, crisis/contingency planning, and other warehouse security-related functions. • Provide advice and counsel to warehouse management on matters relating to employee and property safety and security. • Investigate all safety, security and risk management warehouse related issues. • Develop and facilitate HSSE training for warehouse staff. • Responsible for facilitating and ensuring a proactive approach to HSSE management including goal setting, planning, and implementation of processes and providing monitoring and assurance to line and functional leadership on the effectiveness of the implementation. • Attain a sustainable incident free warehouse and environment; responsible for providing the strong leadership support and exemplary guidance required to achieve this by promoting an enthusiastic HSSE culture that delivers positive commitment to, and engages all staff. • Meet targets set for Facilities Management units. • Collect relevant operational and business performance data and provide timely reports to Warehouse Head regarding Maintenance and HSSE units’ activities and performances. • Implement internal improvement initiatives in alignment with company’s strategic objectives and operational priorities, in coordination with Business Excellence & Performance, Operational Excellence, and other relevant departments. • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as required. 
Requirements 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • 6 years of relevant experience in facilities management of an automated warehouse. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Facilities Management or a related field. • Master of Safety, Health & Environment or related field is preferential. • NEBOSH qualification, HSE qualification or a related certification preferred. • Fluent English, Arabic is a plus.
