Senior Planning Manager - Associate Director - Major Projects

The Role 
Senior Planning Manager - Associate Director - Major Projects & Infrastructure - London  We require a Planning Manager to manage the scheduling team, reporting to the Project Director.  Based in London, as part of the senior management team responsible for the scheduling through all stages of the life cycle including procurement, design and delivery.  It is essential that you can demonstrate a clear, systematic approach to solving complex issues and are able to communicate solutions in an effective, efficient, high level manner.  Responsibilities Include: • Responsible for establishing and performing baseline schedule maintenance and control. • Development of Scheduling reports and presentation to the client together with the Project Director. • Collecting and interpreting schedule data and providing output to the programme and project teams. • Interacting with functional leads and sub-programme leads to obtain schedule updates. • Monitor actual performance against the schedule to identify delay, early and late completion. • Interfacing with the project technical staff to define change to schedules and identification of variances from the original plan. • Identify and analyse associated schedule, resource conflicts and potential cost impacts and issues. • Team management of Planning and Scheduling staff. • Development of Junior Planners and members of the team. 
Requirements 
• Degree Qualifications is preferred but not essential. • Professional Memberships are an advantage but not essential.  Experience, Knowledge & Skills: • Major project experience on complex industrial schemes. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills will be required. • Comprehensive knowledge of Plan(s) of Work and WBS. • Knowledge of programme control principles. • Expert user of Primavera P6.

Workplace Consultant - United Kingdom  Client is seeking to hire Workplace Consultants in Asia, initially with a focus on Shanghai and Singapore, however Hong Kong and Bangalore are also considered strategic locations. The role will be to deliver strategic workplace services to clients, primarily in the home location but also supporting service delivery across offices in Asia. Clients will be local, regional and global. The position will require the ability to travel to the regional offices and to client locations.  The role will focus on meeting and exceeding our client’s goals and objectives regarding the development of innovative and integrated workplace solutions to improve business performance. My client’s workplace services are provided along a continuum from to our clients begins at the outset of the client engagement and extends through post occupancy evaluations.  This is not a marketing role, we expect the Consultant to actively participate in developing client relationships, participating in tenders, delivering projects and following through with clients post-occupancy.  The primary responsibilities will include conducting or coordinating user research, real estate strategy, change management, programming, space planning, design standards, building appraisal, site selection, advisory services for commercial development, and consultation coordination. Many engagements will require a partnership between consultants and designers, to inform the development of design concepts, blocking and stacking and space planning – all with the goal of informing excellent and effective workplace design and implementation.   RESPONSIBILITIES  Consulting - The candidate will have substantial experience in the field of development of user-centric workplace strategies for clients and have a creative and analytical mindset.  - Alternatively, substantial experience in change management (and subject matter expertise in change management theory and methodologies) or an allied field will be considered. - Focus on realizing and exceeding client goals and objectives and design excellence is critical, hence demonstrated ability to lead executives and user stakeholders on a journey is an essential part of this role. - The candidate should understand form and design language but equally be engaged in exploring broad, undefined problem areas and be able to articulate points-of-view about relevant client challenges. The ability to clearly articulate concepts and ideas in easily understood terms by non-experts is critical. - The candidate will be required to support initiatives to build industry awareness and market reputation, and be proactive in identifying consulting opportunities with existing and new clients. - The candidate will be able to problem-find and problem-solve, formulate cultural and user insights and develop strategic solutions. 
Requirements 
- Degree or higher level tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Planning or another related field is essential. - A portfolio of innovative past strategic workplace client engagements.  The candidate must have direct workplace consulting services experience including most of the aspects listed in the role description above. Experience in implementing flexible working strategies is highly desired.  The candidate must have a collaborative, team-oriented mindset and be proactive in partnering with colleagues with various levels and types of experience to deliver strategic services to clients. Collaboration and participation with the firms wide Consulting Practice Area is essential.  The candidate should be proactive in identifying opportunities to enhance or customise consulting processes, tools and collateral for our clients.  The candidate must have a proven track record communicating at a high level: drawing insights from users and cultural trends, creating frameworks, expressing compelling solutions. Presentation skills are a requirement.  The candidate must possess an acute understanding of the value of design in supporting successful businesses outcomes and organizational transformation.   The ability to speak Mandarin is highly desireable for the Shanghai-based role.  Consultants who may not fulfill all of the above criteria but who are able to supplement at least 12 months direct consulting experience with substantial experience in workplace design, are also encouraged to apply.

As our new Senior Interior Designer - Workplace, based in Singapore, you will be part of our international design studio designing Corporate / Workplace Interior projects around the globe. Working closely with the Design Head and the design team, you will be responsible for developing design concepts for corporate interior projects and leading client presentations/pitches.   You will also be responsible for design management and coordination for projects in South East Asia. You will be based in Singapore and work with offices across Asia.
