Senior Civil Engineer - Major Infrastructure Project - Canada Are you a Civil Engineer with experience of Infrastructure works? Have you worked on earthworks jobs and have a keen interest in transferring your experience to the growing market in Canada? If so then please read on. The Highfield Company are instructed to search on behalf of a major construction contractor in Canada who have recently commenced a CAD$1.8 BN project in British Columbia, Canada. We are tasked with securing candidates with a solid earthworks and heavy civils background for this newly awarded project. The role is offered on a three week in camp / one week off rotation. In exchange for your skills and experience our client is prepared to put together a competitive salary and benefits package as well as support all the necessary visa application process.
Requirements
* Over 10 year's experience on projects in the US and/or Canada. * Experience with main contractors is essential. * Significant Earthworks / Heavy Construction experience is essential. * Degree qualified within a construction field accompanied by a suitable professional membership.

The Role
Bid/Proposal Coordinator (Bilingual French & English) – Montreal, Canada Linum Consult’s client is currently seeking a locally-based, French and English-speaking Bid or Proposal Coordinator specialising in heavy civil construction projects and from a contracting background to join their project team in Montreal, Canada. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Working as part of the project team to bid on projects • Working on tender documentation, ensuring that client briefs are understood and responses are clear and articulate • Assessing and coordinating the information required for all involved parties • Managing the technical aspects of the bids, including: means and methods, scheduling, procurement, estimations, and write-ups of the technical proposals • Ensuring that the completed submissions put forward are the best possible response in terms of completeness, appropriateness and that it demonstrates the best added value options to the purchaser • Making sure all deadlines are met • Developing junior staff as necessary
Requirements
• At least 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with some site-based experience • At least a Bachelors qualification in Civil Engineering • Extensive experience in heavy civil construction projects, such as transport infrastructure, bridges, tunnels, dams, marine works, etc. • Must be based in Montreal, with a willingness to travel to the USA and across Canada • Strong technical knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project • Experience with P3, and the bidding process for Design & Build projects • Excellent communication skills in both French and English Our client is willing to pay an excellent salary for this opportunity, plus package.
