The Role 
Louis Berger is an Engineering News-Record top-20 ranked, $1 billion global professional services corporation that helps clients solve their most complex infrastructure and development challenges.  Our team is growing and we are currently seeking a Head of Government Relations, Corporate Organization and Global Mobility for Louis Berger International based in Richmond upon Thames in the United Kingdom.  With dual reporting lines to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Senior Vice President for Legal within the International operations, the Head of Government Relations, Corporate Organization and Global Mobility will be responsible for providing key strategic support to run day to day activities and essential business growth by ensuring all government related matters are dealt with and managed in the most efficient manner. It also focuses on key development areas such as critical integration of various legal entities, offices and branches around the globe.  Duties and Responsibilities:  Government Relations Services • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with key personnel in the ministries and local departments in Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe • Liaise with all governmental bodies on a regular basis so all new systems and procedures are adopted and followed through • Manage the immigration process including the processing of all visas • Provide essential support and guidance to international assignees and assist them with the onboarding process and settling them in to the company • Offer assistance in obtaining necessary utilities connection, license and registration requirements etc. for the international assignees • Provide support to staff with minor police issues • Organise family members and maid visas • Offer assistance in renewing employees’ passports, obtaining visas for personal reasons and represent them before local authorities where possible  Corporate Organization • Possess knowledge of various processes to set up legal entities in Middle East, Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean countries • Prepare and execute Power of Attorneys, Board Resolution and other corporate documents to support business • Liaise with internal stakeholders such as Tax and Procurement to ensure a most tax efficient and compliant setup put in place • Manage renewal of all existing registration and licenses before expiry  Global Mobility • Standardize and streamline the global talent deployment process in order to manage financial and compliance risks • Develop guidelines to ensure adequate home repatriation and relocation assistance • Liaise with key stakeholders in the business and HR teams to ensure global mobility offering is widely known and understood • Drive continuous improvement in the delivery of global mobility in the region • Manage vendors effectively across the business • Ensure that Louis Berger remains fully compliant regarding tax and immigration rules throughout the duration of the assignees • Perform due diligence on the home and host country’s procedures and governance matters that will relate to mobility and the effects it will have on our policies and procedures 
Requirements 
• Proven people management and leadership skills. • Advanced analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills • Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication skills. • Proven success in communicating effectively at all levels of an organization • Fluent in English and Arabic (written and oral) • Minimum of 15 years of related management experience in a multi-regional position within an international organization • At least 5 years international experience managing teams of staff remotely across a region  • 10 years’ experience in leading Government Relations Services across the Middle East • Experience in setting up entities in regions across Asia, Middle East, Europe, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean • Previous experience with Louis Berger is considered a plus

The Safety Officer assists the Manager and OIM in ensuring that the health, safety and environmental (HSE) work on the asset complies with the applicable HSE rules and regulations. He heads campaigns, initiatives, audits, inspections and investigations concerning work safety, with particular emphasis on rules and regulations concerning emergency preparedness Work closely with the OIM to ensure they are kept advised about all safety related matters. Monitor offshore and onshore personnel to ensure that project safety, health and environmental requirements are met.   Participate in planning meetings, risk assessments, toolbox talks, safety meetings, etc.   Monitor performance of work and to coach and encourage Offshore and onshore contractor personnel to achieve an acceptable safety, health and environmental performance.   Maintain good relationships with Offshore and onshore management and personnel. Where necessary intervene to stop work where appropriate HSE standards are not met.  Liaise with other disciplines on health and safety related issues Participate in any incident investigations, site audits or safety committees with follow up and close out of recommendations.
