Senior Road Safety Audit Engineer

• Prepare, review and approve traffic management plans and traffic diversions including designs, details and working drawings.
• Perform road safety audits and follow up on corrective actions and closures.
• Confirm that all related site works are done according to the approved design and conforming to the road safety.
• Direct contractor to take proper and timely actions in order to maintain an acceptable traffic level of service throughout the project duration.
• Prepare, and approve the traffic detours submitted by the contractor in coordination with Traffic Police to ensure safe Work Zones and construction activities on highways. 
• Carry out traffic studies and investigations to identify network defects in the areas of traffic operations and management, safety, pedestrians, connectivity to local communities etc. 
• Coordinate with Traffic Police to ensure safe traffic movement and operation on the highways.
• Propose overall improvement in Traffic Control Devices (Signs, Road Markings, Cats eyes, Delineators etc.) to improve and enhance safety of road users.
• Perform accident investigation, evaluation & measures to avoid the accidents.
• Look after general HSE issues on site.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
• Relevant Engineering Degree.
• Relevant safety, and traffic management certifications and trainings.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in road safety audits and work zone traffic management in large scale road and expressway projects.
• Preferably with related experience in Qatar or GCC countries.

The project is a mixed-use development consisting of hotels, apartments, villas, retail units and food & beverage units. Parsons currently has a team supervising all construction activities including roads and infrastructure. Defects in any of these should be followed up. The DLP is 12 months and there are a number of contractors operating within the site. 

The candidate will report directly to the Client (or their delegate) on the assigned tasks. He will be managing a team of Client staff and mentoring them in the area of defects review and rectification. He will be responsible for recording defects, reviewing method statements for rectification, and overseeing this work. This will be separate from the normal approval and sign off system of the CS team, and relates to follow up of areas handed over from this and other teams to the Client.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. 
• Minimum 15 years of related work experience. 
• Relevant technical experience on construction works.

Senior Resident Engineer

We are currently looking for an excellent Senior Resident Engineer for our roads/highways project based in Doha, Qatar. You will be responsible to lead and supervise a team of multi engineering disciplines staff and contractor.

Performs difficult and complex field engineering assignments involving the development, execution, supervision, and coordination of all technical aspects of a construction project.

Provide technical leadership to his team. Coordinate and monitor activities of his team. Ensure prompt exchange of correspondence and approvals. Maintain awareness of contracts financial status. 

Collaborates with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees. Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards.

Establishes and maintains liaison with the discipline design engineering staff. 

Organizes the accumulation of assigned discipline data for the final project turnover and report.

Interface with the client and upper-level management.

Leading progress and financial meetings.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University plus minimum of 10 years Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer (PE) registration or other similar professional organizations accepted by the Authority.

Minimum 20 years post graduate experience in design, site supervision and construction management of major highway projects of complex nature
