Quality Manager

The Role 
Taylor Sterling is looking for a Quality Manager to join a first tier global contracting firm in Dubai, UAE. Client has won the 'General Contractor of the Year' award and is working on iconic building and tower projects globally.  You will be working with the site team to establish and ensure the effective implementation of the Quality Management System, compliance with contract quality requirements and the compilation of records to demonstrate the conformity of the works.  Responsibilities • Ensuring that an effective Quality Management System is established, implemented and maintained at all levels • Providing an independent channel of communication on quality matters, initiating necessary action to resolve deficiencies and ensuring satisfactory solutions have been achieved • Ensuring Audits are undertaken in accordance with the Audit Schedule and that any adverse findings are closed out in a timely manner • Reviewing and evaluating Inspection & Test plans including those of sub-contractors prior to the commencement of work activities, the ongoing monitoring of construction records and review and acceptance of the completed quality record packages. • Providing guidance and assistance on Quality matters • Providing site training/mentoring on the requirements of the Quality Management System • Assist the Project Managers in the setting of project objectives and targets to measure and monitor quality performance and encourage the philosophy of Continuous Improvement • Reviewing Non-conformance reports to identify any apparent trends and providing timely reports on NCR status and trends to the Project Managers and the Company Quality Manager  
Requirements 
• Bachelor Degree in Construction or related subject • Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of quality control activities • Computer literate • Achievement of or working towards professional quality qualification • Good communication skills, both verbal and written • Driving Licence

Power Engineer

The Role 
• Power engineer ensures continuity electrical and high voltage electrical systems supply to production site and office premises, controls over the cost-effective use of these resources, develops power consumption plans to ensure cost saving. • Power engineer is responsible for execution, developing and implementation of preventive maintenance plans for electrical and high voltage electrical systems • Power engineer ensures compliance with all local, state, and Federal utilities codes, regulations, and laws. Interfaces with service contractors and vendors.  • Prepares and implements maintenance schedules. Organizes utilization, timely maintenance and repairs of the power supply equipment. Schedules power supply down times to exclude disruption of services. Deploys activities to improve operational efficiency and reliability of the equipment. • Supervises outsource maintenance technicians; ensures implementation of the maintenance methods. Provides labor safety during maintenance work. • Prepares contract documentation for electricity supply service. Follow up contract execution. • Participates in renovation and construction projects, including development of project requirements specification for power supply equipment  • Making sure that the energy is used economically within the factory, keeping records and accounts concerning energy consumption and supplies, calculation of the costs of electricity • Leads energy saving projects in power supply equipment  • Requests required tools, equipment, materials, and supplies; obtains price quotes as necessary. 
Requirements 
• Mid-Level (Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point proficiency, experience in reading and drawing in AutoCAD). • Good knowledge in general production process equipment, familiar with mechanical theory and maintenance knowledge • At least five (5) years’ dealing with electricity including high voltage electrical supply system. • Must be an experienced and has thorough working knowledge of manufacturing plant infrastructure, electrical and hi voltage electrical systems
