Marketing Manager

The Role 
Job Objective  • Represent all brands under the company portfolio in the capacity of marketing.  • Build brand awareness across the GCC.  • Launch new stores.  • Develop and drive the full marketing budget and marketing planning for the company across the GCC including all ATL and BTL activities.  • Give direction to the marketing coordinator for special projects and supervise the social medial campaigns as done by the marketing coordinator • Drive the CRM activities.  • Increase traffic through all of the stores and develop in-store promotional campaigns to increase sales.  • Develop and regularly report on all marketing activities in terms of ROI and qualitative data.  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the retail stores, the area manager, mall management marketing teams, marketing collateral suppliers and general media contacts.  • Complete event management from conceptual planning through to implementation and post event reporting.  • Identify innovative ideas to elevate the brand and increase brand awareness.  • Be the brand Ambassador – dealing with the internal and external stakeholders.  • Lead business development opportunities and liaise with Area Managers and Store Managers.  Essential function of the role  • Increase awareness of the brand, of individual stores and of specific products around the GCC through carefully placed PR.  • Develop themed events for the stores and brief the teams for execution.  • Manage the company websites in terms of look and feel and content.  • Establish relationships with the media for PR and events.  • Develop specific sales promotions for each market and developing all supporting in-store POS collateral.  • Manage any online sales portal with IT.  • Secure all permits for the sales, promotions, events, graphics with the help of the PRO’s.  • Prepare all ROI reports.  • Manage the relationship with the brand principals.  • Look for brand synergy opportunities.  • Develop and maintain relationships with key media in the GCC (English and Arabic) and share all Brand and store initiatives, new launches. • Create the PR plan on an annual basis and review on a quarterly basis which is proactive not reactive.  • Create all content for PR and liaise with brand principal marketing teams as well as with company General Manager.  • Create and organize events from special appearances, partnerships, suppliers, staffing, media, hotel bookings etc. A to Z responsibility in planning and implementation.  • Track and measure the success of PR and share with the stores and the head office management.  • Develop a press cuttings/radio feeds etc. for all PR received.  • Lead the CSR campaign.  • Regularly communicate with stores to keep them updated about all marketing activities happening for the brand.  • Liaise with brand principals for monthly bi-monthly and quarterly reviews submitting regular marketing reports.  • Develop and manage the social media calendar and delegate to the marketing coordinator with regular reviews.  • Review performance and identify new social media opportunities.  • Manage e-mail and SMS campaigns with the support of the IT department and marketing coordinator • Create in-store promotions with free gift with purchase, discount offers, new launches and oversee the implementation.  • Data-base management and CRM strategy planning and implementation.  • Set the marketing budget and track spending and measure ROI.  • Prepare reports measuring the success of marketing campaigns.  • Identify new collaboration partners such as bloggers, cinemas etc 
Requirements 
• Dynamic, passionate, can get into the brand.  • Mid way through career with at least 5 years’ experience of which 2 years in a senior capacity managing a person or agencies/accounts. At least 3 years’ experience needs to be in the GCC.  • Arabic speaking is a big plus, fluent English – written and spoken  • Excellent computer skills  • Creative visually, with content, partnership ideas, product placement, brand synergy.  • Strong writing skills for PR content, promotional tag lines.  • Good understanding of budgeting, how to negotiate prices and work within budget.  • Excellent activation skills for all elements of the marketing mix.  • Results orientated with strong implementation skills as well as excellent planning.  • Forward thinker, data driven decision maker.  • Creative and organized.  • Good understanding about how to launch a brand vs a new store vs increasing brand awareness and increasing general store traffic.  • Excellent MS office and good database marketing software understanding.  • Have a valid driving license and has a car.

Department: Construction Supervision Department  Job Location Kuwait – University Project  ROLE OBJECTIVE: To advice and assist the Resident Engineer (R.E.) in supervising on-site construction activities to ensure quality assurance and quality control from start to completion of the construction project.  DETAILED ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  STRATEGIC • Assist the Project RE & ARE and top management in formulating plans to guide the architectural tasks in the respective project  OPERATIONAL • Conduct supervision responsibilities in adherence to guidelines as indicated in the Supervision Manual; ensure that supervision guidelines are being adhered to by site architects at all times • Review and assess contractors’ and sub-contractors’ pre-qualifications, inspect their showrooms, workshop/factory as and when required • Make recommendations to the Resident Engineer regarding the selection and approval of sub-contractors in coordination with and through consultations with owner/client representatives • Review and understand all project contract documents (drawings, shop drawings, composite coordinate service shop drawings, specifications, contract documents etc.); coordinate with other site architects and engineers before construction activities commence • Notify the Resident Engineer of any discrepancies identified against contract documents in order for corrective action to be taken • Assist in resolving any issues raised by contractors (e.g. requirements for time extensions, change order requests, variations etc); make recommendations to the Resident Engineer as appropriate • Review related items within the contractor’s construction schedule (CCS) in coordination with the Planning Engineer (e.g. shop drawing submittal log, procurement schedule, and material submittal log etc.) prior to its approval by the Resident Engineer • Review related construction materials, technical data and material and finishes samples submitted by contractors; ensure compliance against ministerial requirements and technical specifications. • Attend various off site inspections including out of country inspection for review of specific material/samples, mock-ups, testing, etc. as per the contract document • Inspect related procured construction materials delivered to the site, to ensure compliance against ministerial requirements and specifications/contract documents/approvals • Ensure that all materials delivered on site are being adequately stored and protected as per manufacturer’s recommendations in order to avoid damage of materials • Ensure that related works non-compliance to the CCS is communicated to the Resident Engineer on a timely basis in order to avoid any delays in construction • Ensure the maintaining of onsite quality control (e.g. through thorough testing of materials and verifying of materials, adequate storage of materials, contractor’s submittal of written undertakings, warranty and protection of installed systems etc.) • Review “mock ups” and “progress work” against contract documents; make commentaries and recommendations to the Resident Engineer as required  • Contribute to managing the health and safety of all on-site personnel; report any observed safety violations to the Resident Engineer and/or Safety Inspector (if available) • Attend meetings (e.g. progress meetings, coordination and specially called meetings with clients etc.) as and when required. • Lead in resolving design and technical coordination issues with Finishes, Structure, Electro-mechanical, landscape, etc. on the project. • Approve Minutes of Meetings prepared by the Contract Administrator for comments made by self • Participate in preparing progress reports and in verifying costs related matters in order to finalize monthly payment certificates • Ensure that the contractors submittals to local ministries are carried out in a timely manner as specified in contract documents • Lead the snagging procedure after substantial completion of construction activities have ended; ensure that a snag list is prepared based on defective/outstanding works for the contractor to rectify, repair and complete for re-inspection. • Review related as-built drawings provided by contractors prior to their submittal to local ministries for approval and for final construction record purposes  Note: The job holder may be required to undertake additional duties, which may be reasonably expected and form part of the function of the job.  PEOPLE MANAGEMENT • Lead a team of site senior / architects; assign roles and responsibilities to Site Architects • Assist in the training of new joiners/interns • Ensure health and safety of architects/engineers working on site  
Requirements 
• Bachelors Degree in Architecture – From an accredited educational institution • Masters Degree in Architecture is preferred • Certification/Membership of Kuwait Society of Engineers • Membership of American Institute of Architects • Membership of Royal Institutes of British Architects • 10-16 years and as an Architect, 5-7 of which should be as a Senior Site Architect, and 2-4 years as Lead Architect.
