Contract Manager - Qatar

• To direct and control all the activities of the ‘Operations & Maintenance Department’ (O & M) covered in the contract in a safe and cost effective manner to enable the client to meet its objectives and fulfils the targets of the approved annual business plan. 
• To establish and maintain a reliable manpower organization, formulate and develop the necessary Operations & Maintenance philosophy and processes that will enhance the availability of the client’s assets and promote customer satisfaction. 
• To integrate multi discipline, inter-department, project and contractor activity to facilitate a high degree of availability and reliability of the facilities and to ensure that the services provided to all the centers under the umbrella of the client are in line with their commitments and confirm to International Standards, statutory regulations and the client’s policies and procedures. 
• To take full and ultimate responsibility for the overall safety, availability and reliability of the client’s facilities on account of works covered in the contract. 
• To encourage safety consciousness, commitment and active involvement from team members to meet the business objectives of the client. Ensure injury to any individual or harm to environment or damage to asset is negligible 
• To provide work directions to his subordinates and contractor staff and ensure that all activities conform to QF policies & procedures and accepted technical standards. 
• To effectively coordinate with end user client for any challenges in the execution of the contract with appropriate solutions. 
• Functions independently on all the routine & non routine matters and escalates the unresolved issues proactively with alternate solutions. 
• Deals with a wide range of critical breakdown, corrective & preventive maintenance activities to give directions to various discipline Engineers /Supervisors. 
• Leadership qualities and attitude towards work beyond duty hours are essential. 
• Implement the instructions of Client representatives
• A minimum 15 years (of which 7 years in a supervisory position) experience in civil maintenance in large Education Buildings /infrastructure, Developed communities, Airports, High rise towers , Oil/Gas facility, or similar processing industry, with exposure to Facilities Management, and safety systems. 
• Completion of Secondary (12 years) education followed by 4 years full time study leading to Degree in Civil Engineering. 
• Good spoken and written English is a must. The candidate must be very familiar with the use of Computer and MS Office package.

Metrology and Calibration Technician

We currently have openings for Metrology and Calibration Technicians in The Middle East. 

Undertake Dimensional calibration inspections, measurements to the correct procedures, instructions and specifications. Maintain relevant records of work, data and results in a traceable and auditable manner utilizing various management systems.

The main accountabilities:
- Calibration of Mechanical Measuring equipment - Micrometers, Callipers
- Height Gauges, Torque Wrenches, Gauge Blocks
- Calibration of Production Gauging - Plain Plugs, Screw Plugs, Spline Gauges
- Dimensional checks on Fixtures/Tooling using first principle methods
- Surface finish and contour checks on components
- Maintain the Calibration Database and filing system
- Maintenance of Calibration Certification and files
- Assist with on the job training when required
- Assist in the development and Improvement of Inspection and Calibration procedures
- Participate in laboratory measurement audits
- Participate in external/internal audits as required by the Quality Manager within the facility.
- Ensure that mandatory and legislative QH&S/HS&E aspects of work are implemented at all times and that adequate training and dissemination of knowledge on safety and other general matters is given to staff under your control.
- Occasionally you may be required to perform other tasks which are not included in the above description, but are within the capabilities of the individual and where necessary training will be given.
- Candidates must have experience of working in a Metrology/Calibration Laboratory. 
- Leading Teams and taking a hands on approach to training apprentices. 
- Ability to communicate at all levels. 
- Professional and enthusiastic person, with the ability to problem solve and be reactive to situations. 
- Excellent working knowledge of IT systems such as Word, Excel etc

The Managing QS will be responsible for the full range of commercial issues from the procurement through to dealing with final payment accounts as well as contract management, costing and financial reporting.
• Demonstrable experience of managing a large team 
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or an Engineering related field
• Minimum of 15 year’s experience 
• Experience of being a team leader of large-scale mixed-use development projects 
• Working experience in the Construction or Engineering industry in the Middle East 

It is important for this position that you have strong management skills having managed a team previously. Please note that you don’t necessarily need to live in the GCC now, but have had at least 4 years working experience in the MENA region.

Dredging Superintendent – International/Middle East
We are seeking Dredging Superintendents for our client in the United Arab Emirates. They have a number of requirements due to recent major project awards. 
We require a candidate who can carry out all dredging, reclamation, and civil marine projects within the project scope i.e. deadline and budget. In this role it is paramount you ensure quality, safety and environmental standards are adhered too. 
This person will work closely with the Project Manager and Works Manager to organise and supervise the execution of the work for which you are responsible. 
We are seeking a candidate who can demonstrate leadership and accountability, a commitment towards continuous improvement, someone who can motivate colleagues, be able to work with staff from all backgrounds, be able to identify and mitigate risk.
Requirements:
• Degree in related subject – engineering / construction / marine
• In depth understanding of dredging process and equipment
• Ability to link survey results to contractual implication
• Excellent IT skills
• Excellent English
• Ability to pass physical fitness test
• Minimum of 3 years direct dredging experience

You will have experience of working under supervision of more experienced legal counsel, provide professional, timely, cost-effective and practical legal advice in support of the LNG business, reactively identify legal risks and alternative strategies in a defined area, ensure documents reflect accurately commercial decisions, at all times consistent with legal obligations and the in-house control framework, represent the client in discussions and negotiations with third parties, work as part of a virtual team and with internal and external stakeholders, in all cases with diverse cultural backgrounds.

A broad general grasp of legal issues under relevant legal systems and demonstrated capability of building up knowledge in particular areas of law. Knowledge and experience to identify critical legal risks.

Demonstrable track record as a (virtual) team player. Strong influencing, negotiating and facilitation skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High levels of business and legal acumen.

Open minded, flexible and robust approach, and ability to remain positive in challenging circumstances.
