Job Purpose:
- To identify various credit risks and develop and / or enhance models for measuring and quantifying various credit risks.
- To maintain and / or enhance credit grading model and perform periodic validation of credit rating model.
- To periodically review / enhance obligor grading and facility grading methodology.
- To periodically analyse the obligor grading output inorder to ensure compliance with Basel’s IRB requirements.
- To perform calibration of probability of default and to develop LGD database.
- To periodically analyse credit portfolio and to monitor and report the internal credit risk limits.
- To perform economic capital computations for various risks and to enhance the economic capital computation models.
- To periodically compute the Credit VaR / Unexpected loss of the credit portfolio.
- To perform periodic liquidity stress testing and stress testing of the portfolio and also to periodically validate the various internal and external parameters used in stress testing model.
- To maintain and / or enhance sector risk assessment model and to perform periodic computation of sector risk score for the credit portfolio
- To review risk management policies periodically.
- To participate in various risk management projects not limited to credit risk.
- To monitor various risk limits relating to liquidity, interest rate, market risk etc., and prepare/check the various daily/monthly/quarterly risk reports
- To prepare the monthly risk report and the half yearly portfolio report
- Establish appropriate measurement tools for market, interest rate and liquidity risks and tolerance levels in line with regulatory and prudential norms
- To assist other units in risk management as and when required.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure compliance with limits as per Credit Risk Management Policy and report any deviations.
- Maintain database required for measurement of various credit risk metrics.
- Perform regular rating migration analysis.
- Develop methodologies for measuring / calibrating Probability of Default and Loss Given Default (LGD)
- Maintain the bank’s credit grading model and ensure it complies with Basel’s Internal Rating Based (IRB) approach.
- Bank wide stress testing on regular basis covering all risks and impact on capital and profitability.
- Ensure timely reporting of economic capital & Stress testing results to Central Bank.
- Conduct and report portfolio analysis to identify portfolio level trends.
- Validate the various model and model parameters used in credit risk and stress tests.
- Involve in implementation of third party models.

finance / finance / economics / maths / science / business administration.
- Qualifications / Certifications like Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM) , Professional Risk Manager (PRM), Financial Engineering, highly desirable.
- Minimum 7-10 years experience in banking industry out of which minimum 5 years experience in risk management with more emphasis on credit risk and economic capital.
Skills:
- Excellent MS-Excel skills required preferably with elementary programming knowledge in VBA.
- Knowledge of Basel regulations.
- Excellent quantitative skills.
- Excellent communication skills both in verbal and written English.

Job Purpose:
- To direct and control all Credit Review duties (Pre fact, Post fact, Credit Policy, Special credit projects) to ensure that all concerned functions are carried out effectively.
- To coordinate with the various departments of the bank to nurture the credit culture and ensure that proper credit standards are established and adhered to.
- To supervise the review of the credit policy and effect necessary amendments to the policy as and when required keeping in view the contemporary trends and techniques in credit management.
- To set the framework and allocate tasks concerning special credit related assignments/projects found necessary to enhance the credit standards of the bank.
Key Accountabilities:
- Supervise and control subordinates to ensure that objectives are achieved effectively within agreed targets.
- To ensure that all subordinates are properly trained to handle the review functions and are capable of carrying out their assigned responsibilities.
- Review and finalize the review reports periodically generated by review officers.
- Review current credit policies/procedures and recommend changes to enhance the credit standards.
- To critically evaluate the overall lending portfolio.
- To identify/initiate specific credit related projects necessary to improve the credit valuation process or to be used as a reference material for management.
- To monitor that pre-assigned special credit related projects initiated by the top management is effectively and efficiently submitted within the per-set time frame.
- To assign in the orientation programs for credit trainees and provide feedback for their training programs.
- To delegate duties and conduct objective performance appraisals of all subordinates on regular basis and highlight their strengths, weaknesses, to set new targets and identify their training needs, if any.

Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or in a subject that has some
synergy with the banking business.

- Thorough understanding of international / local banking practices and procedures (including credit documentation)
- Basic training principles and techniques

GENERIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Risk Analysis: Analytical analysis of Balance sheet highlighting risk concerns both on the assets side and funding structure i.e. identifying concentrations, lopsided growth in assets, evaluating risk-return trade-offs, funding concentrations, reliance on high-cost funds in the funding pattern etc., prepayment options both on the loans and deposits and impact on profitability.
- Market Risk Analysis: Identifying measuring and monitoring all market risk in the bank:
* FX Risk
* Equity price risk
* Interest rate risks in banking book
- Risk tools and techniques: Set up measurement tools like the Value at Risk (VaR) and other tools like open overnight exposures, Notional exposures, Stop Losses, Maximum tenor, authorized currencies etc.

- Monitoring: Independently monitor adherence to limits and report exceptions.
- Interest Rate Risk: analyze each line in the balance sheet and understand the interest rate behavior by identifying the interest rate mismatch risk based on the re-pricing of assets and liabilities and underlying assumptions for quantifying the interest rate risk in the banking book are agreed upon and the gap statements are drawn accordingly.
Risk Recommendations:
Responsible for recommending risk limits for the variability in the net interest margin by setting up:
- 1 bp sensitivity Limits
- Earnings at Risk Limits
Risk Planning:
- Business Plans reviewing the business and funding plans at the time of the budgeting process and analyze the impact of future growth on the overall balance sheet and funding mix. The impact of projected growth on the profitability is also analyzed keeping in view the peer positioning and expectations.
Liquidity Risk:
- setting up measures for quantifying and monitoring liquidity risk also laying down policies for liquidity risk management and contingency planning.
