At Concept Design (CD) and/or Schematic Design (SD) stage, ensure that appropriate alternative concepts are proposed and that these have been tested and Value Engineered, and that they comply with project and code requirements.
Monitor departmental project progress, and report to Director on actual or anticipated time and/or man-hour over-runs
Carry out high level design reviews at appropriate intervals during the design process. At a minimum, this will be at the end of each design stage. However, interim reviews may be required.
Anticipate and solve technical difficulties for projects which present new challenges to the core experience of the department.
Assist the Director in maintaining up to date software, codes, standards, design methods, etc and disseminating new information through the department
Assist the Director in ensuring a positive professional attitude in the Department's dealings with other design disciplines, clients and other members of the project team
Provide technical leadership and management of complex engineering projects.
Assert technical leadership within the team and serve as lead for specific clients/projects when assigned by the Department Head.
Assist subordinate staff with technical accuracy and quality assurance for projects.

20 years' experience working for a design consultant, contractor client organization. At least 10 years design experience at senior level.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Registered as a professional engineer with recognized program. LEED, ESTIDAMA or PMP Certification would be advantageous
Track record in operations management of teams to successfully deliver projects.
Sound technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems.
Statistical data analysis experience.

IDM Consultant

Responsibilities

The IDM/Security Consultant will work closely in a team of Solution Architects and Consultants in the Security practices. His/her job will be twofold: to participate in projects with delivery goals, to elaborate solutions and provide best practice on the product technologies implemented.

The IDM/Security Consultant develops his/her skills around a set of products/technologies belonging to Oracle Security product's stack and technologies. This position provides support to the delivery of security projects in the area of Oracle IDM (Oracle Identity Management Suite) and Oracle Database security (DB features, DB Firewall, Database Vault, Audit Vault). This position is also responsible for providing technical support as required for infrastructure installation and high-level technical problem resolution.

Main activities

The IDM/Security Consultant's main activities are:

Design/architect/deploy around the following technologies:

- Provisioning and role management solutions based on Oracle Identity Manager and its connectors.

- Web SSO infrastructures based on Oracle Access Manager and/or Oracle Application Server.

- LDAP infrastructures based on Oracle Internet Directory (or any other LDAP directory server) and Oracle Virtual Directory.

- Enterprise SSO infrastructures based on Oracle eSSO suite.

- Web services security infrastructures based on Oracle Web Services Manager and/or WS-Security of Oracle Application Server.

- Database encryption solutions based on Oracle Transparent Data Encryption.

- Database authentication services

- Segregation of duties and data access solutions based on Database Vault.
