Our client
is a highly reputable African group of companies. From their HQ is in Dubai the
group manages & controls number of companies & BUs that located in
various African countries such as Angola, Zimbabwe, and South Sudan. The
business of the group covers various industries; FMCG manufacturing,
distribution & general trading, services and hospitality.
The group is seeking to recruit a top notch professional who can make a difference and lead the business to its next level.
Reporting to the Group President, the job holder should have the ability to set-up strategic objectives and accordingly produce short & long-term business plan that realize the group overall business objectives & profitability, with full P & L accountability.
Working in very dynamic business environment that enjoy rapid market changes & development as well as high competitiveness rate is the major challenge of this role. Accordingly, the job holder should possess the market knowledge, countries knowledge as well as international business acumen.

• A professional who has the ability to smoothly produce long & short-term business plan with sharp eye on the bottom-line of the business
• A professional who has the ability to implement effectively the business plan and act swiftly for any sudden changes in the business environment as it arises by introducing the required corrections.
• A professional who has the ability to consolidate the businesses’ outcome and produce a global picture of the BUs status to avoid any sort conflict and optimize the group various resources
• A professional who will ensure using the group resources effectively with an objective to maximize profit and to ensure long-term run of all BUs
• Needless to say, market knowledge as well as country knowledge are must to this role.
• Also, the incumbent should have the ability to study in-depth any new investment and JV the group may face in the future and participate in the decision making process on the same.
• The incumbent should travel extensively to the location of various business units.

• The incumbent should possess the right educational qualifications gained from reputable universities / business school

The Role
The Pavement
Specialist will be appointed to support the Engineering Manager as well as the
Quality and Construction/Logistics Managers. You will oversee , co-ordinate and
manage the programme management requirements for the design and supervision of
the works undertaken by the Supervision Consultants for works relating to the
construction of pavements from subgrade to asphalt finishing.
Duties:
Assist the Construction Project Managers in the implementation , inspection, testing and acceptance of the asphalt pavement works.
Assist the Quality team on the testing procedures required for the acceptance of the works.
Advise and assist in the selection of materials and design mixes required for the asphalt paving works.
Provide advice on the materials, working practice and testing procedures required for the sub base sub grade works.
Liaise and co-ordinate with PWA and ANAS on the inspection and testing plan being proposed for the asphalt works.
Review method statements and participate in audits , inspections.
