MEP CAD/BIM Manager required for a long term appointment in Singapore. The MEP CAD/BIM Manager will be working for a very well established, award winning international consultancy on major projects throughout Singapore & Asia. The MEP CAD/BIM Manager I am looking for must have a proven track record within international consultancies as a MEP CAD/BIM Manager. Experience in Asia is desirable, but by no means essential. The purpose of this MEP CAD Manager role is to deliver drawings using AutoCAD and Revit MEP software and to manage the M&E CAD resource for the Singapore office, utilizing both local staff, and staff in overseas locations. THE ROLE This is an excellent opportunity for a talented MEP CAD/Revit Manager to join a team within my clients vibrant office in Singapore to lead the production of Revit MEP Models & CAD drawings for all stages of design ensuring the effective design of some of the most exciting building design projects in the world. As part of their established team of expert engineers and MEP CAD/Revit technicians, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will produce detailed 2D MEP CAD drawings and will also develop design coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit into their current design practices, and train and mentor more junior CAD staff in the use of Revit.
Requirements
Having already been accredited with a relevant HNC/HND (or equivalent), you have gained strong practical experience of using Revit MEP in a similar building based role, you are adept at planning and organising your workload and communicating effectively with engineering and AutoCAD specialists. You have sound knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit, have proven experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines, and crucially - share the companies passion for creative, sustainable and intuitive design. It is essential that you come from an MEP CAD background and have a demonstrable, track record as an MEP CAD Manager within international engineering consultancies. This is most certainly a long term opportunity that would really suit an MEP CAD Manager that is really looking to establish themself internationally and work alongside some very talented western expat engineers. This role requires a candidate who is completely committed to relocating to Asia & is available to start within 4-6 weeks.

The Senior Public health Engineer that I am looking for must have experience in the UAE. The successful Senior Public Health Engineer will be degree educated, with 8+ years experience in this field. The Successful candidate that I am looking must have excellent communication skills to be able to build and maintain client relationships and liaise with clients and authorities to seek design approvals. Knowledge of British, NFPA and Local Authority standards and requirements is desirable.

This role will see you working on a number of very prestigious projects including malls, high rise, residential, commercial rail and retail. The Mechanical Associate Director role is a critical role for the business and will see you challenged but very rewarded working on innovative designs on very complex MEP Design projects within Doha. What does success look like in this role? * Technically sound work consistently design and delivered to the client brief * Effective management of people, finance, business development and project responsibilities (including QA). Decision Making * Primary responsibility for the financial management of projects (including resource allocation and management of WIP, invoicing & debtors), to ensure delivery in accordance with fee agreements * Key point of contact for clients on projects. Significant responsibility for managing the client relationship * Line management responsibility for an identified group of staff * Delegation and supervision of work within project teams, and the provision of advice, guidance and coaching Main responsibilities * Prepare fee proposal documents and fee calculations, for sign-off by a Partner * Establish design concepts to ensure that designs are appropriate, deliverable and consistent with the client's brief * Monitor and manage (human) resourcing requirements for projects * Take responsibility for the technical control of projects, to ensure that all designs are technically sound and meet the client's brief * Review and verify designs produced by direct reports and/or other team members, providing feedback as required and signing off designs before they leave the Practice * Manage and control financial aspects of projects, co-ordinating input from other disciplines, and ensure that invoicing is carried out in accordance with agreed schedules * Follow project management and QA procedures, and ensure that direct reports do so * Lead / participate in regular team meetings to ensure that direct reports and/or project team members are informed of key deliverables, deadlines, progress, issues & changes * Participate in induction arrangements for direct reports, ensuring that relevant and appropriate training and support is provided * Conduct effective and timely performance appraisals with direct reports, ensuring that relevant and appropriate objectives and development needs are identified and recorded * Monitor direct reports' progress and development throughout the year, providing regular, focused performance feedback, and ongoing support and guidance as required * Develop and maintain technical standards, knowledge and expertise in support of the pursuit of "technical excellence" * Participate in marketing and business development activities, attending meetings and events, and contributing to the development of team/discipline/sector marketing plans * Manage relationships with existing and prospective clients, maintaining regular and effective contact, and appropriate records * Assist with Graduate recruitment as required (for instance by participating in careers events, assessment centres, work experience programmes etc.) The first stage will be a telephone/Skype call, followed by a face to face interview with the partners/directors of the business.
Requirements
* Mechanical Engineering qualification at bachelors level or higher * Minimum 15 years of relevant experience within the building services design industry and a proven track record in working for international design consultancies. * Chartered Engineer * Previous experience in the MENA region desirable * UPDA Grade A gained from MMUP will be advantageous * Proven experience across the project life-cycle * Proven experience of managing projects and delivering to time & budgetary deadlines, whilst complying with operational and other procedures * Proven ability to manage resourcing requirements on projects and to coordinate the input of others from within and outside the team * Broad and deep technical knowledge in mechanical building services, plus demonstrable understanding of other disciplines * Proven ability to negotiate and agree commercially appropriate fee arrangements and appointment terms * Excellent skills to build and develop relationships with clients * Demonstrable understanding of issues of commercial and contractual risk * Proven ability and commitment to coaching and development of less experienced staff
