Being part of Emerging Markets, you will be driving our People initiatives and support our growing family.  The ideal candidate has experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments and can help scale/manage our rapid growth. We are seeking someone who can thrive in ambiguous situations, while fostering a collaborative, open, and fun culture!  This is a great opportunity to be part of the region's most successful startups and an essential member in building the pillars of culture at Careem.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   - Advise and guide our colleagues on all aspects of leadership capability, e.g. performance, collaboration, team working, set and achieve targets around a high performing business function - Provide expertise in designing and delivering targeted solutions including strategic planning, change management, and team building - Assess colleagues' development needs and make recommendations for appropriate solutions - Collaborate Coach leadership teams to effectively manage their people in line with the people policy, procedure and people business plans to develop functional business performance whilst managing business risk - Guide and support business leaders in the introduction and implementation of initiatives developed to drive operating efficiency and effectiveness 
Requirements

With our recent Series D funding success, we are positioned on the cusp of significant scale and well on target to deliver our goal of creating one million jobs in the region by 2018.   Key Responsibilities  - Serve as a gatekeeper and liaison between multiple local teams of his/her market and the central captain experience team in basecamp (HQ). - Oversee all captain experiences and journeys in the local market and ensures high quality of service and captain experiences as per policies, standards, and KPIs. - Process data-points and insights provided by Experience Analytics team into Problem Statements to be taken up for solving for local team - Lead research, investigation and full root-cause analysis on experience-related topics being problem-solved in own market - Ensure solution implementation in collaboration with team responsible for execution (Supply Ops, Product etc) - Aid local team in streamlining business processes for increased productivity, efficiency and standardisation of journeys across the captain experience - Consistently provide excellent captain experience and represent captain needs and preferences to ensure happiness and retention - Effectively engage in conflict resolution both internally and externally 
Requirements 
- Minimum 6+ years of customer experience with a portion focused on experience and journey design with at least 2 years of people management - Demonstrated strong ability to empathize with customers (captains in this case) - Passionate and successful track record in championing great experiences, with attention to detail and craftsmanship. - Extensive communication skills, both written and spoken with open communication channels with captains and other local teams in market and Basecamp. - Ability to effectively problem solve working through operations issues, and helping solve user and technology problems. - Ability to prioritize and occasionally resolve reported issues. - Work well under the pressure of multiple projects and deadlines. - Desire to work at a fast growth company drive and leadership is well appreciated - Experience in consumer tech/mobile first products/services is strongly preferred

With our recent Series D funding success, we are positioned on the cusp of significant scale and well on target to deliver our goal of creating one million jobs in the region by 2018.  Careem is looking for a rock star Market Launcher for Early Stage Markets.  The Market launcher is responsible for launching the new markets that Careem wants to enter and fixing Careem's existing markets across supply, demand, quality and captain support.  The Market Launcher role at Careem is one of the most challenging and rewarding roles that an individual will come across. The Launcher is in the forefront of Careem's operations and expansion plans. The team basically creates something where previously there was nothing and turns around Careem's different markets.  Nothing is better than watching a city that you've launched (and the team you've launched it with) take off and grow. Or hearing from a partner that, due to his increased business, he's able to expand his fleet and hire additional captains (We call our drivers captains). Or getting a note from a friend that they've just had the BEST experience riding in Careem.  Before launching a city, the launcher does her/his research well in order to understand the transportation pain points, regulations and market opportunity. As a baseline, the launcher needs to understand how a city lives and breathes before he/she sets foot in a city.  The market launcher role is the biggest contributor to growth at the company.  KEY ACCOUNTABILITES (OUTPUTS, KPI'S)   Before stepping the city, the launcher must do; - approvals, legal clearance and research about a city where is launched - research and map out supply landscape - research demand and market sizing - pricing benchmarks - find your first customer and develop your market launch campaign strategy  Once in a city, the launcher must do simultaneously; - recruit, hire, and train a local team - develop partnerships and manage relationships with local hire car operators - create a marketing strategy to scale the client base and increase visibility - explore business development opportunities - kick off the city!  JOB CONTEXT   If you like travelling, the travel is intensive in this role. Launchers are on the road over 300 days per year. If you tend to get homesick after a few days or don't sleep well unless you're in your own bed, this is not the right position for you. In addition to that, our Market Launching team is deeply devoted to the cause and we are passionate about what we do and Careem.
