Senior CAD / BIM Technician - Interior Design

We are now seeking an exceptional Senior CAD / BIM Technician to join our award winning team based within our Abu Dhabi Office.



This critical role will be responsible for performing technical drafting and modeling work using CAD (Computer Aided Design) and BIM (Building Information Modeling) in the preparation of construction drawings, record drawings and maps.
Paramount to success within this varied role will include:




* CAD :



* Develop and prepare Interior Design drawings in CAD format from preliminary concepts and prepare detailed drawings in CAD format of proposed facilities, prints of various original plans and records for internal and external company use.

* Produce complete and accurate record drawings.

* Work as a team member to coordinate design projects with professional architects/ engineers and other CAD technicians.

* Utilize customized tools, utilities and scripts to automate work processes and improve AutoCAD productivity and efficiency and to comply with the company CAD standards.



* BIM:



* Ensure construction documents accuracy based on Interior Design BIM Modeling.

* Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines design-changes and model challenges.

* Adhere to BIM Execution Plan and BIM project wokflow criteria.

* Follow BIM content standards and development procedures.

* May take the lead on developing some Interior Design specific BIM modeling content for print drawing sets for professional team and participate in discipline reviews.

* Prepare own Interior Design model and/or content for BIM Coordination Meetings.





To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 10 years' career experience with a Diploma or Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.



Professional certification in AutoCAD or Revit is essential.

This critical role will be responsible for interior design services in planning, developing and coordinating world class corporate offices and residential projects from pre-design phase to the completion of construction documents.
Paramount to success within this varied role will include:


* Provide conceptual design, design development and production drawings of interior projects.

* Selection of interior finishes, furniture and equipment.

* Review pricing, material and value engineering for projects.

* Produce space plans, furniture plans, and elevations, conceptual and finishes design presentation documentation, detailed specifications and construction documentation.

* Document design ideas into construction drawings for permit and bids.

* Incorporate applicable building codes and ADA code compliance regulations.

* Provide solutions to design problems and generate design alternatives.

* Review drawings, mock ups, materials and finish samples to be submitted by the Project Manager.

* Assist in Writing FF&E and finishes specifications which are then used as part of the contract documents of the project.





To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 5 years' career experience with a Bachelor of Architecture or Interior Design.



Professional Membership of an Architectural Association will be viewed favourably.

* Managing the highway design project delivery of the team and the quality of the deliverables.

* Undertaking and supervising a variety of highway engineering tasks and taking an active role within the integrated multidiscipinary teams in the delivery of engineering solutions, investigations and designs across a range of projects.

* Create concept to detailed design of highway projects including interchanges and at-grade junctions, including priority and signal controlled.

* Developing and preparing design drawings, reports, design reports, technical and material specifications.

* Supervising junior engineering, draughtsmen and technicians.

* Preparing capital cost estimates, bill of quantities and project delivery schedules for assigned projects and assisting the proposal/bid managers in business developments by providing inputs in the preparation of bids of highway projects.

This critical role will be responsible for Water & Irrigation Design for the assigned projects.
Paramount to success within this varied role will include;


* Undertake the responsibility of the Water & Irrigation Design for the assigned projects as per the client's, authorities and QMS procedures. Liaise with Client and Authority Representatives for obtaining design approvals.

* Reply to the RFIs for the contractors queries on the design drawings.

* Preparation of Design Reports, Technical Specifications and BoQ for the Civil/Water Utilities Works and all the equipments.

* Preparation of Design Documents, Drawings for all Design Stages (Concept, Schematic and Detailed Design/IFC) in compliance with the local Codes, Regulations, Requirements and International Standards. Lead, supervise and mentoring a team of engineer

* Preparation of Civil/Infrastructures Water Utilties - Potable/Fire Water & Irrigation Design and Drawings including Storage Tanks/Reservoirs, Pumping Stations & Transmission and Distribution Pipelines (Layouts & Profiles, Valve Chambers, Air Valves, Washouts, Isolation, Interconnection…etc).

* Preparation of Technical Design Reports (Water Demand, Pipe Sizing Calculations, Hydraulic Calculations, Selection of Pipe Material, Technical Specifications, etc…)

* Well verse and familiar with Water Hydraulic and Surge Modelling Softwares required to be used for the Water & Irrigation Network Design (such as WaterGems, WaterCAD, InfoWater, Epanet, Hammer, InfoSurge,..etc)





To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 15 years experience in Civil & Infrastructure Utility Works (Potable, Fire Water & TSE/Irrigation), career experience with a Bachelors Degree in Civil /Water Engineering and preferable Master Degree. Chartered Engineer or PE.
