The Role 
Purpose: * To understand the dynamics of international and domestic trade in UAE with a view to size the market for Trade Services in all the Standard Chartered territories and any important but yet un-represented countries. * To understand customer buying behavior and needs to develop well researched customer value propositions (CVPs) positioned to increased trade revenue (new products, enhancements, service delivery initiatives, portfolio re-engineering (re-pricing etc.), product and sales promotion campaigns and alliances). * To develop and maintain a system to capture competitor and regulatory information on Trade. * To continuously scan and manage the composition and trends in Standard Chartered's Trade Services portfolio and validate them against market, customer and competitor knowledge. This should enable Standard Chartered to identify and plan for opportunities and threats to protect/grow Trade Revenue.  Responsible for P&L for assigned products; manage product / other revenue initiative priorities across UAE. To ensure that sufficient tactical and strategic action plan is articulated so as to maximize the revenue impact of market, customer, business and competitor knowledge by initiating and sponsoring Product Development (New and Enhancements), Product and Sales Promotion campaigns, Service Quality improvements, Training and Product Marketing support for Trade services in UAE.  * Responsible for articulating the regional Trade product strategy and executing on the annual operating plan, specifically for Documentary Exports and Open Account Finance products (ex Invoice Financing). * Develop jointly with the Sales team a local product & sales strategy to meet regional and country revenue targets for Exports and Open Account products, in line with the overall Transaction Banking strategy * In consultation with the TB Sales teams identify markets or customer segments within the region that provide opportunities revitalizing Exports and Open Account products (ex Invoice Financing). * To lead and manage the articulation and definition of annual Operating Plan for areas of own responsibility in consultation with product partners to: * Deliver short-term financial results whilst position for medium term performance. * Identify and provide business case for creation of core capabilities, which support strategic goals. * Manage revenue and costs (P&L) for assigned Trade product set. * To demonstrate the business case, for each initiative, on the basis of product features, customer benefits, payback and cost savings/enhanced efficiency as the case may be. * To devise and implement, in consultation with Country TBS & Coverage teams, strategic and tactical framework for each new product launches so that the planned market, wallet share and revenue are achieved. * To define competitive pricing and tariff structure for NEW products to maximize product profitability and shareholder value. * To deliver financial results both in respect of revenues and trade volumes. * To participate in local marketing planning process. Credit Analyst, Commercial Banking

The Role 
Purpose: * Primarily responsible for managing the credit risk associated with the portfolio and ensuring high quality of the portfolio. * Closely work with the RM from the origination & play a vital role in deal structuring to add good value from a credit/policy perspective. * Work with the RM on a specified portfolio and facilitate revenue growth in the portfolio.  Key Roles and Responsibilities  Origination: * Interact with the client, gather deal requirements, financial statements and other inputs for performing quality analysis and due diligence. * Work with RM/product partners in structuring credit solutions for the clients and ensuring the appropriateness of the products. * Work with the RM, in a) obtaining all pre clearances like ER negativity, segmentation, etc. b) preparing & presenting work-shopping note and c) expediting approvals. * Responsible for end-to-end BCA process including preparing all the tools like Odyssey, Scorecard, etc, in-depth analysis of various risks, quality presentation and ensuring fast credit approval. * Ensure compliance of all internal and regulatory credit/other portfolio related policies e.g. preparing the Country portfolio standard checklist, Temasek check, other special reporting requirements, etc. * Liaise with GAM Credit for limit approval/allocation. * Release the trade offerings in IMEX, after obtaining the necessary approvals. * Seek necessary approvals for excesses in the account.  Post Deal Account monitoring: * Monitor quality of the portfolio by tracking Excess/past dues, strictly complying with ASTAR, EAR processes. * Monitor Risk Triggers, Covenants and other credit conditions and report appropriately * Ensure Zero BCA over dues. * Liaise with Credit on BCA and other credit issues and ensure quick turnaround on queries. * Proper maintenance of Credit files and ensuring Audit Ready at any time * Attend EAR/Portfolio call/MTM calls along with the RMs * In partnership with the relationship manager, ensure timely identification of accounts to be put in EAR as per the bank's policies and guidelines  Others: * prepare timely Stress Tests wherever required * Prepare specific industry study * Prepare Credit Opinion reports wherever required. * Effective use of Creditmate & RMWB  KEY MEASURABLES: * Effective structuring the deal along with the RM - no of structured deals handled successfully * Completion of BCAs and obtaining Credit approvals on time to facilitate faster execution of transactions. * Revenue from the portfolio * No overdue BCA, QCR * Efficient handling of EAR, minimal ASTAR, * Nil Provisioning * Satisfactory Audit and other internal & external reviews * No movement of account to GSAM without going through EAR 
Requirements 
* Business or accounting related degree preferable. * Preferably with certification in Core Credit Curriculum * Preference would be given to UAE based candidate with International exposure. * Excellent financial analysis skill and ability to assess client creditworthiness and key risk considerations / mitigations. * Preference would be given to candidates with ability to create financial models and experience in handling Complex Credits. * Previous relevant experience in serving business/commercial/corporate clients essential. * Product knowledge on trade, cash, lending and FX and strong understanding of local industries, supply/value chains and market environment. * Knowledge of operational procedures, documentation requirements, banking practices and regulations related to commercial banking. * Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
