WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A PMO MANAGER TO JOIN THE THALES TEAM IN THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.

Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out performance and development for the PMO team
• Ensuring the correct deployment of the PMO resources across the projects to be supported balanced against availability
• Perform first line resolution support for the PMO with regards to processes, interfaces and performance issues
• Provide a focus for all other functions and management at the location on Project Control processes, performance and any other issues
• Providing robust leadership to build team confidence, competence and talent, and to be a mentor and role model
• Drive the development of the PMO function in line with the development of Project Management processes, practices and procedures
• The creation of Project Plans that will include all deliverable Milestones, Internal Milestones and any other feature that will require to be delivered
• Produce and analyse cost and schedule metrics on a monthly basis, providing recommendations as to corrective actions
• Produce Weekly and Monthly Management Reporting data for Internal and External Customers
• Eye for detail – Plans and organizes tactics for improvements at work.
• An accomplished, results orientated, professional, combining technical expertise with proven management skills.
• Analytical, in the approach to problem solving and the subsequent achievement of goals and objectives.
• Close familiarity with the tools, concepts and methodologies of project management.
• Experience of Primavera P6 and MS Project
• Comprehensive understanding of generic processes and techniques used to schedule project activities e.g. WBS, OBS, milestones, dependencies & CSF, project network, float, Critical Path Management (CPM), forward & backward pass calculations and EVM
• Analytical skills aligned with the need to carry out detailed investigation of cost variance(s) and publishing of financial information directly into Company financial reports
• Experience of managing medium sized teams.
• Strong communication and customer relationship building skills is essential
• Formal PM Qualifications or equivalent level such as APM Practitioner, IPMA Level B: Prince II Practitioner
• Knowledge of FIDIC contract
• Ability to inspire / mentor PMO teams to maintain high quality standards
• Ability to work under pressure with limited supervision and committed to deliver within time and manage priorities

OCS Platform Lead Engineer

The OCS Platform Lead Engineer will be working on the ROUTE 2020 Metro Project reporting to the OCS Work Package Manager andwill be part of the OCS Team based in Dubai responsible for managing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring and documenting all OCS platform activities in order to gain acceptance of the delivered OCS Software/Hardware.

The successful individual will be required to perform a hands-on role, taking part of all OCS Software/Hardware development and IVVQ.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare OCS Solution Integration Verification Validation & Qualification (IVVQ) Platform activities.
• Produce and maintain OCS platform Data and Configuration Management and ensure adherence.
• Define IVVQ strategy, establish requirements related to IVVQ activities and perform associated cost estimate and schedule
• Specify, choose and deploy methodologies (including metrics), tools/platforms necessary to IVVQ and acceptance activities (FAT, IFAT)
• Propose IVVQ scenarios and guaranties their implementation
• Ensure all OCS configuration and Change Management processes are followed by the IVVQ team.
• Work with OCS Systems Engineers to ensure that all the requirements are properly testable – including the testing method – and that full IVVQ Traceability can be put in place and maintained with the verification test scenarios.
• Work with the OCS Systems Engineers to ensure that the concept of operations is fully understood and described and that full IVVQ traceability can be put in place and maintained with the validation test scenarios.
• Work with the development teams and third party suppliers to analyze the requirements to ensure that they are testable and ultimately capable of being accepted according to the proposed IVVQ strategy.
• Prepare transition between France/Italy & Dubai Integration/T&C teams (competencies & testing platform).
• Degree in system/software engineering or equivalent.
• Previous experience of Software/System Integration experience in project implementation activities is essential.
• Experience in Transportation low voltage application domains: SIG, SCADA, and Coms.
• Knowledge on different communication protocols at Network and Application level i.e. TCP/IP, Modbus, HTTP, FTP, LDAP, SNTP, Serial and IEC… etc.
• Expertise on Application Servers for the software deployment, configurations.
• Strong Knowledge on System Development Life Cycle.
• Flexible working hour and schedule (example: night or weekend)

Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience in OCS/SCADA Software development/integration.
• A good working knowledge of Server software, real-time operating systems, security systems, database management and networking.
• The candidate must have developed through his professional experiences the capability of managing contractors’ relationships.
• Able to work in autonomy, but strongly self-aware of limits.
• The capability of coordinating with different stakeholders in international context is required.
• Ability to identify potential problems and propose solutions.

Acquisition Project Manager

The Acquisition Project Buyerwill be the Operational Manager for Purchasing activities during the Bid phases

Key Responsibilities:

For the Projects under his Purchasing scope:
• Manages the contractual obligations between THALES and its suppliers to maintain or enhance profitability and secure the position of THALES Saudi Arabia.
• Manages the contractual baseline, subcontracts, amendments, letters and claims.

• The Requirements / Configuration Manager role requires a sound technical knowledge of all the main technologies/products and subsystems used to implement IT, Telecom and Security services, of the way in which these products/subsystems are integrated, of the related operational scenarios and of the ways they are usually verified and validated.
• Knowledge of System Engineering discipline and processes, CMMI principles will be an important element in the candidate evaluation.

JOB OBJECTIVE

Key Responsibilities:
- Define the systems assurance plan, tailoring Thales processes relevant to the related functions to the MC6 objectives and requirements
