Duties vary, but generally safety officer oversees the planning, creation and implementation of the occupational health and safety program of a company. Duties include administrative, supervisory and hands-on tasks. Minimum 5 years experience in Construction and Health and Safety, At least 2 years Middle East Experience (preferred, but not essential) o The Safety officer designs a safety program consistent with the company requirements that sets up processes to reduce accidents and work-related injuries o The Safety Officer designs procedures and forms for internal reporting of compliance with safety procedures as well as program violations, curative steps, accidents and injuries. He also maintains Materials Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) o The Safety Officer analyzes workforce accidents and injuries to determine where process changes, communication or training needs improvement. Develops and manages reports for company management. He also recommends and implements program changes where necessary o Conducts regular safety audits including the inspection of facilities, worksites, equipment, work practices, and safety devices to ensure compliance with required workplace safety standards, regulations and policy o Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations o Ensure all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE) o Oversee all subcontractors and contractors o Inspect power tools and heavy equipment

The Role
Our client is a leading luxury furniture company, stable and successful, they are currently looking for Factory Manager in Bahrain Responsibilities: • Coordinate sales & production in furniture factory in accordance with company objectives. • Visit potential and key clients to discuss and help close business deals as well as maintain contacts for customer feedback and response. • Develop programs to acquire customers and increase market share in the target market. • Plan for business growth by identifying opportunities and pursuing them to successful closure. • Making production plan as per customer orders given by the project team. • Making weekly production plans and communicates it to the factory & project team. • Managing manpower & ensuring availability of raw material. • Set, review and recommend the overall policies and procedures for the factory. • Derive and develop medium, short-term plans and executive programs to manage & achieve the Factory goals. • Monitor the Factory performance to ensure that progress is being made in the desirable direction. • Set the estimated budget; monitor the Factory expenditures and financial performance. • Efficiently use of materials, machines, and employees to minimize the costs and optimize for processes efficiency. • Review production costs and product quality, modify production and inventory control programs to maintain & enhance profitable operations of the Factory. • Keep abreast with market trends and monitor competitors’ activities responsible for driving competitive conversions and share gain. • Develop appropriate procedure to capture and respond to customer and market sentiments about the Company’s Factory products to ensure customer satisfaction. • Seek materials suppliers based on market trends and competitors activities and achieve best deals for the Company’s Factory. • Develop and maintain a customer data base for the Company’s Factory. • Direct all factory activities to insure safety and compliance with ISO standards, regulatory compliance and contract agreements. • Excellent Coordination with all the department of the organization.
Requirements
• University degree/diploma in related field. • Professional knowledge in sales and customer relationship management. • Minimum 10 years experience in the similar field. • Excellent past track records in new business sourcing & acquiring. • Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills. • Good Computer skills, proficient with MS Office applications. • Thorough knowledge of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc.
