Architectural Project Manager - PMP

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of
specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

We are looking for an experienced Architectural Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

An excellent Architectural Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.

The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.

Responsibilities
• Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
• Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
• Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
• Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
• Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
• Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
• BA in Architecture 
• PMP Certification Essential
• Proven experience as construction project manager
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Familiarity with construction/ project management software
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• A team player with leadership abilities

Our client is currently looking to recruit a Planning Manager to join their team reporting directly under their Operations Director. Candidates should ideally be able to demonstrate experience working on a number of projects. Candidates should ideally be able to deliver good quality programmes and associated work for projects during the pre-construction or on site stages. Complete the planning process with a high degree of commercial acumen and skill whilst producing tender plans and programmes that are clear and understandable.
You will need to be degree qualified at least 10 years experience in fit our and interiors and experience in the middle east. 

Preparing tender planning reports underlining key planning & programming elements to the pre-construction / bid team.
Preparing informative & auditable tender programmes utilising known outputs & sequences

The Senior Technical Architect will be a key member of the Dubai Architecture team and responsible for project management and delivery, business development, proposal submissions and pursuit of projects. Project Delivery/Leadership Responsibilities
• Perform hands-on role of Project Architect and Project Manager on assigned projects
• Understand and participate in fee management, fee negotiation and compensation for services performed Monitor project schedules and budgets to ensure profitable completion
• Ensure timely delivery of projects that are professionally executed within established budgets
• Management, mentoring and leadership of the technical and design staff, including design and technical direction, project management and support of other offices as required
• Ensure constructive leadership and mentoring of junior staff and effective collaboration with other offices and divisions

Design/Production Responsibilities
• Ensure projects are completed with high levels of technical competency. Ensure quality assurance mandates and processes occur. Review and be accountable for design and contract documentation
• Lead teams to pursue highest level of design excellence throughout the delivery of projects
• Promote an environment that fosters innovation

BD/Client Relationships Responsibilities
• Increase client service, retention of current clientele, and increasing client base
• Pro-actively externally promotes the services of the Company
• Participates in proposal development including determining fee and staffing levels, sub-consultancy agreements
• Actively implements business development strategy as part of the team
• 10 to 15 years of architectural experience
• Bachelor in Architecture or above
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD (2D and 3D), Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, AutoDesk VIZ, Rhinoceros, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Macromedia Flash, 3DStudio, V-ray render
• Solid understanding of all phases of a project: competing for the commission, designing, managing, completing the contract document, and seeing it through to completion
• Track record of securing new business and retaining existing clients
• Ability to travel to or live in foreign countries as required for business
• Experience with both small and large, complex projects
• Familiarity with hospitality, high-rise & Commercial project
