Lead Business Improvement Officer - Qatar Aircraft Catering Company - Doha, Qatar

Job Purpose:Takes a lead role in project managing and implementing sustainable solutions adopting a variety of best practices e.g. Lean, Six Sigma methodologies , Business Process Re-engineering, Kaizen, and Rapid Improvement tools used to implement efficient operational processes /solutions

Accountabilities:

Operational
• Responsible to analyse for critical processes and possible bottlenecks to identify errors, changes are then simulated to find the preferred solution and finally an agreed solution the process is optimized
• Presents problems clearly and is convincing in the way solutions and communicated to a variety of stakeholders
• Takes a proactive approach to planning, new development are based on detailed scoping of the problem, builds a solid business case and end- user clearly understand the solution roll out plan
• Measures process gaps, defines process improvements, implements process changes and controls so that the changes meet the defined business results
• Develops and promotes system and data oriented approaches in order to drive objective business decisions based on facts and figures. Develop the required system metrics in order to have standard objective measurements
• Actively promote continuous improvement and lean principles across Qatar Aircraft Catering Company (QACC) through mentoring and training of staff, entertaining workshops and implement projects

Process Optimisation and Quality Management
• Ensures continuous review and improvement of operational processes to identify and eliminate waste and inefficiencies understands the current state and moves to defining the future / desired operational models
• Review risk and issues and determine proactive or corrective action as required
• Manage implementation of improvement project start to implementation and periodical operational performance review
• Monitor performance of key measures to identify need for intervention and/or improvements: ensure alignment of potential projects with overall objectives
• Audit the quality of output and performance of implemented projects to firmly embed change

Management & Leadership
• Engagement with all stakeholders (with focus on operational areas) to identify key bottlenecks, waste and opportunities for improvement
• Establish the project team objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives
• Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed
• Oversee and supervise employees, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery
• Train and develop other employees to ensure succession planning in place

Personal Development
• Take responsibility for own going personal development and growth of expertise
• Keep abreast with any market trends and developments

Operational Safety
• Responsible to ensure that employees at all levels understand work health and safety requirements and expectations through provision of relevant Qatar Airways QR Group induction, information, instruction, training and supervision
• Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security , quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operation to assure employee safety, security, legislative compliance and delivery of high quality service with a responsible environmental attitude

• Has experience in logistics, high volume food production, internet fulfilment centres or a similar FMCG environment

Preferred
• Black Belt Six Sigma certification
• Change management implementation
• Recognised project management tools

Finance Supervisor

Finance Supervisor - Fraud Screening - Qatar Airways - Doha

In this position you will be responsible for minimising payment fraud by screening the credit card payments received for Internet and Call Centre transactions.

You will provide daily monitoring of all E-commerce and credit card transactions, monitor all received transactions for potential fraud and make decisions based on criteria from the manual along with interpretation of transaction details. 

You will take decisions on whether to accept or decline transactions and in case fraud is suspected cancel the booking or request the call centre agent to do so. You will handle dispute, fraud, chargeback and RFI notifications from the central acquirer for Visa, MasterCard, Diners, Amex and UATP as well as collecting supporting evidence from the correct sources when responding to these issues.

You will also be required to take reasonable action as per company policy on recovering chargeback losses and maintain all actions in case management. Before shift closure you will perform daily fraud screening analysis.
You will have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent and preferably experience in Airline credit card transaction processing including Fraud screening. You will have a minimum of 4 years job-related experience working with finance, experience in detailed work and working with reservation systems as well as an eye for detail, analytical and problem solving skills and fluent English communication abilities.

Further to this you must be a team player, trustworthy and able to work independently. Chargeback handling experience and Data mining experience would be an advantage.

Please note that this position is on a shift-working basis.

As the HR Coordinator, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of HR functions with a key focus on recruitment and selection, HR policy and implementation, performance management, learning and development, HR projects and reporting for stations under your area of responsibility.

Specific accountabilities include:
• Providing a range of HR services to employees from joining to expiry of contract and assisting in all matters relating to contractual matters.
• Liaising with line departments to ensure that appraisals are done on time and to correct standard.
• Responding and communicating effectively to queries with regard to employment regulations, policies and procedures to decimate correct information and first level service.
• Supervising the production and issue of standard response and request letter to staff departments and external organisations to maintain the internal and external service deliveries.
• Supporting and centralising data for appraisals and training needs in coordination with the Station Head.
To be successful in this role, you will need a relevant trade, diploma or vocational qualification combined with a minimum of four years HR experience, ideally gained within the Airline industry. You will need a good knowledge of GOSI, passport office and systems. Solid experience in excel spread sheeting is also required along with fluency (written and oral) in Arabic and English.
