Charterhouse is working with a well-respected and reputable investment house. Our client is looking to hire a dedicated and experienced Paralegal with an investment banking background to join their expanding Legal Department.

Your main role will be to provide paralegal assistance within the Capital Markets and Mergers and Acquisitions Teams within the organisation. Daily responsibilities will include but not be limited to conducting due diligence to identify issues that may present potential legal, regulatory or reputational risk and the preparation, processing and reviewing of client documentation such as loan agreements and share purchase / transfer agreements. 

You will also be responsible for conducting quality assurance checks, legal research and the preparation of pitch documentation. In addition, you will assist with closing documentation for acquisitions and transactions and other related business matters of a legal nature.
This is a key role in the organisation and it is essential you have previous experience in a similar role within the financial services industry / preferably investment banking world. You should hold a Paralegal Certificate or Legal Diploma and have impeccable presentation skills alongside outstanding English communication skills, written and spoken.

Charterhouse is working with a well-established insurance company based in Oman who is looking to hire a Human Resources Vice President for the business.

This is a key management role and you will be instrumental in managing the human resources and administration functions and be the focal point for all employee related initiatives. You will review company policies and procedures and co-ordinate the implementation of recruitment. You will also be responsible for performance management, learning and development and preparing and submitting periodic reports. You will have previously been involved at senior level for business planning and operational management as you will business partner closely with the CFO and CEO.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree with a professional qualification from CIPD, SHRM or HRCI. You should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience with at least 2-3 years’ in a similar position, preferably within the financial services industry. Sound working knowledge of HRM systems and procedures and an understanding of Omani Labour Laws is essential. You should be fluent in English (written and spoken) whilst Arabic language skills would be advantageous.

Reporting to the Country Manager, you will be responsible for managing, planning and coordination of the supply chain activities in support of the business objectives. You will ensure that the purchased goods and their procurement support quality, cost, inventory and service level standards are correct. You will also establish purchasing and warehouse department goals to ensure realisation of company operating objectives. In addition, you will establish and oversee departmental operations pertaining to vendor managed inventory and consignment inventory.

You will manage the negotiation of purchase contracts, follow up, scheduling and expediting of deliveries, including all partnership agreements. You will also maintain awareness of key market trends and pricing as well as the development of new materials or products and recommend and counsel others on these changes.
