We’re working with a local group which
specialises in manufacturing. This role is newly created and offers an
excellent opportunity to start-up the cost accounting function from scratch.
Salary: AED 19-21k / month
Responsibilities:
The role involves overseeing costing related activities for two manufacturing facilities and involves the following major activities:
• Maintaining cost accounting system. This involves periodic standard costing reviews and participation in related costing projects.
• Ongoing review of bills of material and routing.
• Planning, studying and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labour.
• Analyzing data collected and recording results.
• Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
• Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
• Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports.
• Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability.
• Making estimates of new and proposed product costs.
• Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
• Maintain internal control documentation and test internal controls.
• Assisting in month-end close of the general ledger.
• Participates in physical inventories and monitoring cycle count program.
• Participates in reconciliation of finished goods inventories.

• Ensure that the monthly management reports are analysed and circulated on time.
• Prepare variance analysis explaining the reasons for major movements in revenue & expenses between budget, actual and previous month.

• Closely work with FC to complete Annual Budget & Quarterly Forecasts.
