Job Description
This position will contribute to the delivery and execution of projects in support of MRL Clinical, Regulatory, and Safety. Key responsibilities include: Delivery of IT systems that support business strategies aligned to the evolving IT landscape as it relates to the Global Clinical Development organization in MSD Delivering and executing Global Development IT Knowledge Management, Mobile, Integration and Portal projects per Global Development objectives. Providing subject matter expertise for the following capabilities: Content/Information Management, Portal and Business Process Management, Integration solutions and other KM systems. Working closely as part of the content management delivery teams as a technical resource responsible for technical analysis, configuration, query design and implementation. Designing and implementing new emerging capabilities to use machine learning to auto-classify unstructured data as well as advanced mobile solutions to capture and manage information. Contributes to platform and technology strategies. Collaborates with KM & P team members. Collaborates with Global Innovation Network @Branchburg, Global Innovation Network @Prague, and Global Innovation Network @Singapore to deliver initiatives and platforms. All activities must be conducted compliance with company policies and standards, and in compliance with regional and country specific regulations. Qualifications Education and Skills Required Degree or advanced degree in science or computer related field. Minimum Experience Required At least 3 years of significant technical experience with large scale validated scientific computer systems and 2 years of IT technical analysis or solution delivery experience. Skills/Knowledge Required Thorough understanding of GxP and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations and guidelines Experience with modern application integration technologies such as REST APIs and Web Services Thorough understanding of Amazon Web Services architecture and other Cloud service delivery models Knowledge of general Oracle database concepts and PL/SQL Experience delivering clinical solutions in a validated environment Understanding of Mobile development concepts and architectures Understanding of content management concepts and theories Drive for results - Strong planning and organization skills Delivers customer value - committed to understanding and meeting customer needs Works with high integrity and ethics - represents MSD Research Labs GD IT across the company and the industry Collaborates effectively with and through others to achieve shared goals Communicates candidly and fluently in English - strong verbal, written and presentation skills Skills/Knowledge/Experience Preferred Experience with collaborative Portal architectures and how they support content management Background including Application Integration Experience in Clinical, Safety, and Regulatory IT and relevant business areas

Global Development Technical Architect

Description Manage the Global Development IT Singapore Hub team comprised of 2-3 staff (technical analysts). Design platform architecture that will enable best-in-class IT capabilities supporting MSD Research Labs Global Development organization. Drive solution implementations through global, cross-functional teams composed of members from MSD, strategic vendor partners, and industry peers & stakeholders. Collaborate and partner with our IT hubs in Prague, Czech Republic and in Branchburg, New Jersey. Drive high-level design of strategic global solutions to enable new opportunities through proof-of-concept efforts, industry benchmarking and coalitions. Be responsible for the delivery of architectural artifacts including solution architecture diagrams (physical & conceptual), infrastructure requirements, and capability roadmaps. Understand and explore industry technologies that are available, in-use, or coming soon. Maintain strong relationships with key vendors, influence vendors strategic roadmaps and provide transparency around platform roadmaps. Contribute to the enterprise architecture community in order to facilitate knowledge sharing and build a common architecture principles and guidelines. Partner with MSDs Program Management Office (PMO) to align all efforts and ideas to the approved portfolio. Qualifications Education Required Degree or advanced degree in science or computer related field. Minimum Experience Required 3-5 years of technical architecture, solution delivery, or technical analysis experience in the IT industry. Skills/Knowledge Required Proven success in driving and maintaining architectural roadmaps focused on business capability enablement. Strong system architecture skills with analytical thinking for problem solving is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with both a technical and a business audience, and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a broad level of partners including off-shore development teams as well as functional area managers. Strong organization, influencing, and follow up skills are also critical for this role. Skills/Knowledge/Experience Preferred Experience with Clinical Development systems. Knowledge of strategic vendor capabilities and product/technology roadmaps. Knowledge and experience with Application development, testing and implementation in external hosting and cloud environments is a plus. Experience working with specific vendor technologies such as Oracle InForm, Oracle Argus, Veeva suite.
