We're looking for Data Scientists to join our team in Singapore, supporting some key clients across the SEA region.
Role Details below
Individual contributor who can build and execute analytics modules on various technology platforms including big data technology platforms.
In this role, the data scientist will be supporting the Team Lead to execute upon a work stream and complete the task in a time bound manner as laid out by the Team Manager.
As an individual contributor, the data scientist will be a problem solver and should be able to come up with innovative solutions for the problems laid out.
When needed, the data scientist will also engage with clients to present the results from his work and convey the primary findings, challenges and prepare such client ready material for the delivery of the project.
The person will be based out of Singapore and report to the Team Lead who in turn will report to the Team Manager (Principal Data Scientist).
Relevant 2-5 years of experience in Big data analytics and machine learning.
Demonstrated experience with various analytics and big data platforms.
High performer and problem solver. A high level description of desired skills is given below.
Number of positions - 2 Skillset:
2-5 years of experience in predictive analytics and big data analytics
Ability to work on big data analytics tools
Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Mahout (map reduce), Pig, Scala, MongoDB, Storm, Kafka, Zeppelin, etc.
Some experience in setting up a do it yourself big data cluster environment
Demonstrated experience in delivering analytics projects on the big data stack
Strong coding skills in Python, R
Other preferred coding languages are Java, SAS, C++, SQL
Comfortable with working on Unix, Windows
Sound knowledge of machine learning concepts. Illustrative machine learning methodologies are:
Bagging, Boosting, Regularization, Online Learning, One Hot Encoder etc.
Statistical modeling CHAID, CART, Regressions, SVM, SVD etc.
Experience on the text analytics stack
NLP, Parts of Speech Tagging, Language modeling, TF-IDF, Word2Vec
Illustrative experience Document classification, speech analytics, topic modeling, sentiment analysis,
Looking for diverse work experience in candidates. People who have worked across multiple solution areas and business lines.
Risk analytics /Marketing analytics / Telecom analytics / Retail analytics / e-commerce analytics etc.
Strong communication skills in English.
