The project is a mixed-use development consisting of hotels, apartments, villas, retail units and food & beverage units. Parsons currently has a team supervising all construction activities including roads and infrastructure. Defects in any of these should be followed up. The DLP is 12 months and there are a number of contractors operating within the site. 

The candidate will report directly to the Client (or their delegate) on the assigned tasks. He will be managing a team of Client staff and mentoring them in the area of defects review and rectification. He will be responsible for recording defects, reviewing method statements for rectification, and overseeing this work. This will be separate from the normal approval and sign off system of the CS team, and relates to follow up of areas handed over from this and other teams to the Client.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. 
• Minimum 15 years of related work experience.

Senior Resident Engineer

We are currently looking for an excellent Senior Resident Engineer for our roads/highways project based in Doha, Qatar. You will be responsible to lead and supervise a team of multi engineering disciplines staff and contractor.

Performs difficult and complex field engineering assignments involving the development, execution, supervision, and coordination of all technical aspects of a construction project.

Provide technical leadership to his team. Coordinate and monitor activities of his team. Ensure prompt exchange of correspondence and approvals. Maintain awareness of contracts financial status. 

Collaborates with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees. Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards.

Establishes and maintains liaison with the discipline design engineering staff. 

Organizes the accumulation of assigned discipline data for the final project turnover and report.

Interface with the client and upper-level management.

Leading progress and financial meetings.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University plus minimum of 10 years Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer (PE) registration or other similar professional organizations accepted by the Authority.

Minimum 20 years post graduate experience in design, site supervision and construction management of major highway projects of complex nature

Environmental Engineer

The Environmental Engineer is responsible for managing the environmental interfaces with the Client and the various Contractors on site, and for ensuring compliance of all construction activities with the Overall Construction Environmental Management Plan (OCEMP).

The Environmental Engineer will spend a significant amount of time on site observing conditions and Contractor activities to ensure that CEMP commitments are met, especially with regard to sensitive environmental issues.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Function as an Environmental Engineer on medium to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the project team.
• Ensure environmental compliance of design and construction with all applicable environmental standards and regulations.
• Conduct on-site training of environmental related topics.
• Review the environmental permits, renewals.
• Maintain the contractor’s key performance indicators.
• Conduct environmental surveys, studies, site investigations.
• Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary studies and analyses.

• Degree in Environmental Engineering with 6-8 years experience in an engineering / consulting environment on environmental engineering projects.
• Must be well versed in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Qatar Environmental Permitting, Regulations / Processes, environmental requirements related to construction activities, Environmental Management Plans etc.
• Should have experience in design and construction of infrastructure related projects.
• Should be familiar with environmental permitting process during construction activities.
• Skills to communicate with client representatives, deal with agencies and others engineering teams on the project.

Skills/Competencies:
• Thorough knowledge of local and international regulations, standards and procedures related to environmental management, protection and sustainability are also required.

CAD Operator - Infrastructure

Performs design/drafting assignments requiring a working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques. Under the general direction of higher-level engineers, the incumbent at this level typically takes engineering notes, specifications, rough sketches, etc., and formalizes them into working drawings. Assignments are designed to develop a practical knowledge of equipment, facilities, and systems, and their interrelationships within a particular engineering discipline.

Key Accountabilities:
• Supports the engineering staff by providing quality drafting support using the approved software.
• Provide final preliminary and concept drawings from sketches that may be used in the scoping document and tender packages for the acquisition of design, specialty, and construction contractors.
• Supports the construction team in developing sketches and other documents as required.
• Maintains drawing registries for all drawings by design consultants, contractors, the Project Management Team and the developers.
• Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
• Supports the engineers in completing all drawings sketches, etc. and formalizes them into working drawings.

• Degree in CAD or relevant engineering subject with full knowledge of the latest CAD systems
