We are developing a
luxury development in the World Islands Dubai, called "The Heart of
Europe". Consisting of high end residential villas, including the iconic
Floating Seahorse! This role is to work on the interiors of the floating
seahorse as a focus.
? Confer with client to determine factors affecting planning interior environments, such as budget, architectural preferences, and purpose and function.
? Confer with clients to determine needs.
? Advise client on interior design factors such as space planning, layout and use of furnishings or equipment, and colour coordination.
? Review and detail shop drawings for construction plans.
? Review details of technical drawings or specifications.
? Coordinate with other professionals, such as contractors, architects, engineers, and plumbers, to ensure job success.
? Coordinate construction or installation activities.
? Estimate material requirements and costs, and present design to client/authority for approval.
? Estimate costs for projects or productions.
? Present work to clients for approval.
? Subcontract fabrication, installation, and arrangement of carpeting, fixtures, accessories, draperies, paint and wall coverings, art work, furniture, and related items.
? Coordinate construction or installation activities.
? Formulate environmental plan to be practical, aesthetic, and conducive to intended purposes, such as raising productivity or selling merchandise.
? Select or design, and purchase furnishings, art works, and accessories.
? Select materials or props.
? Maintain inventories of materials, equipment, or products.
? Render design ideas in form of paste-ups or drawings.
? Draw detailed or technical illustrations.
? Use computer-aided drafting (CAD) and related software to produce construction documents.
? Draw detailed or technical illustrations.

? Develop artistic or design concepts for decoration, exhibition, or commercial purposes.

? In this challenging position, you be responsible
for the supervision of production activities within
one or more based in UAE.
? You will be responsible for your area of expertise. This can be steel, piping, painting, electrical, outfitting or painting.
? Your main duty is to check and monitor the quality of work, taking into account the facilities of the shipyard, the processes and working methods and the tools being used. This way, you will be responsible for finding and implementing possible improvements in the production process.
? You will work in close cooperation with the Site Manager and you will report to him/her and to the Supervisor Manager. This position implies travelling to multiple shipyards within UAE.
? Your daily tasks include:

Project Manager
The Heart of Europe (THOE)

The Site (Project) Manager coordinates and
advises on Floating Seahorse Building activities at UAE based shipyards, so as
to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the
required quality specifications. He or she also leads a team of Supervisors –
local and contract personnel as well as our own employees – allocating their
duties and monitoring their progress, as well as supporting the contracted
shipyard and its construction management team in process restructuring and
optimization, with the aim of improving efficiency and quality, and reducing
completion times.
In addition, the Site (Project) Manager serves as the point of contact for client/design office oversight on location as and when necessary.
As well as monitoring the general quality of the work, its results and overall project progress, the Site (Project) Manager reviews the site facilities, processes, working methods, tools, and so on, and discusses possible improvements with the local contractor’s responsible personnel. The job also includes collaborative, training and advisory tasks, working with both local shipyard staff and fellow members of our team – people of various different nationalities.
As Site (Project) Manager, you are a member of our design & construction team. This is responsible for work planning and for personal guidance and development.
In addition, the Site (Project) Manager serves as the point of contact for client/design office oversight on location as and when necessary.

Naval Architecture (or) Marine Engineering (or) Mechanical Engineering (or)
Equivalent.
Skills: Specific knowledge in Composite material like GRP / FRP is preferred.
Experience of working on projects in the Middle East is prefereable
