Sales Manager - The Torch Doha

The Role
Responsible in implementing all sales activities and maximize business opportunities for the hotel.
To develop in conjunction with the DOSM a structured, timely, achievable personal business plan.
To maintain complete and supported record of all sales agreements, contracts and quotes for the hotel as per the hotel policy and procedures.
To achieve targets in terms of number of new active accounts, room nights, banquet covers and revenue as set by DOSM.
To submit monthly entertainment schedule to the DOSM for approval.
Requirements
Ideally with a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management.
Must be proficient in writing, speaking and negotiating in Arabic and English.
Minimum three (3) years experience in a Sales position in a 5 star hotel.

Project Manager (Testing & Commissioning)

Project Manager (Testing & Commissioning) - Qatar

Linum Consult’s client is currently seeking a Project Manager specialised in the Testing & Commissioning of the High Voltage works of wet and dry utilities on a large infrastructure construction project in Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing overall direction and supervising the Testing & Commissioning activities for the completed utilities works
- Confirming, approving, and auditing the plans and procedures in relation to pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and performance testing of utilities
- Establishing strategies for the commissioning activities and establishing a plan covering all project phases and all project objects
- Reviewing, approving, and auditing the individual project commissioning plans and procedures from Contractors in addition to HSSE procedures, including Lock Out/Tag Out, ensuring the safety of personnel during pre-commissioning and commissioning
- Evaluating programme requirements for all commissioning activities for the company and the Contractors and overseeing system completion and functional testing
- Understanding the use and operation of dry and wet utilities, including potable water pumping stations, treated sewage pumping stations, storm water pumping stations, vacuum foul sewer pumping stations, and chlorination plants
- Working closely with the QA/QC Manager to ensure the Contractors have adequate Quality Assurance procedures for commissioning activities and Contractors are following those procedures
- Working closely with the Contractors, vendors, and suppliers to resolve any technical problems and to ensure that identified deficiencies are repaired and updated as to actual site conditions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 15-20 years’ post-graduate experience in a similar role, with demonstrated testing and commissioning experience in major infrastructure network projects
- Strong background of working on HV substations, pump station projects, waste water projects, district cooling plants or other systems, such as SCADA Systems
- Previous history of working in GCC countries
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
