We are looking to hire candidates to work on advanced computational models for our upstream business including exploration, development, production and marketing and transportation. Select areas of application for this work include reservoir simulation, earth and sedimentary modeling, seismic processing, supply chain optimization, reservoir production optimization, drilling & subsurface engineering and flow assurance. Responsibilities:
Work with computational scientists, engineers and geoscientists to understand business issues and technology so as to enhance, support and maintain computational tools, models, algorithms and software
Implement software tools for enhanced usability and business uptake based on existing prototypes
Analyze and benchmark numerical performance of underlying algorithms; implement improvements to algorithms to enhance performance
Create tutorials, documentation, training material or case studies
Build simulation models using proprietary and vendor tools to model business problems. Analyze simulation results and develop technical reports and presentations
Design, build and execute parametric studies using simulation models to analyze performance, scalability and quality of results
Create and maintain infrastructure to automate simulation preparation and execution, and to process and analyze simulation results
Requirements:
Bachelors degree or Masters degree (preferred) from a recognized university in one of the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Science or related disciplines with minimum GPA 7.0 and above
Professional work experience in developing, applying and analyzing computational models and simulations and developing related algorithms. Minimum one year applied computational work experience for candidates with Masters degrees; and minimum two years of such experience for candidates with Bachelors degrees
Strong knowledge of numerical methods is required
Experience in prototyping tools such as MATLAB and Python is required

We are looking to hire candidates to work on the modeling of oil and gas production systems and assessment of their operability; including wells, flowlines and risers, production and injection facilities, and pipelines. The position will use analytical and computational tools to predict the transient multiphase flow and thermal behavior of the production system .
Job Responsibilities
Conduct technical studies to assess flow assurance and system operability during the project cycle including:
o Fluid characterization using a thermodynamic simulator to model the behavior of produced fluids
o Steady state, single phase flow modeling to size gas and/or water injection systems and pipelines
o Steady state, multiphase fluid modeling to design production systems, including functional requirements for artificial lift and/or thermal insulation

o Experience in prediction of gas hydrate formation and development of operational strategies for hydrate blockage prevention
