Senior Quantity Surveyor

Due to our ongoing expansion, a new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based in our office in Dubai.



Key Responsibilities:

Senior Quantity Surveyors (Theme Parks):

Pre-Contract:

Cost Planning and estimating (BCIS and NRM1); 
Value Engineering, cash flow forecasts, Whole Life Costing, risk management; 
Bills of Quantities production (POMI and CESSM3); 
Tender services including compilation, tender analysis, negotiations and recommendations; 
Contract drafting (FIDIC);

Post Contract:

Management of bonds, insurances and guarantee logs; 
Interim valuations and payment certificates; 
Variations analysis, recommendations and management; 
Risk and value management and cost control functions; 
Costs analysis project work; 
Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks; 
Preparation of progress/ cost reports; 
Reporting to Commercial Director on all commercial issues; 
Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations; 
Attendance and representation at commercial meetings.

Due to continued success in the Abu Dhabi we are now seeking to recruit Senior Quantity Surveyors, to join an established professional team, committed to technical integrity, innovation and development of its people, within our growing "Lifestyle" department for Theme Park developments.
Experiences and Qualifications:

Experience in Theme Parks and / or Waterparks is a must. Those candidates without prior experience will not be considered for these roles; 
MRICS status as minimum for SQS level. This is non-negotiable. Junior staff must be enrolled onto RICS APC; 
Degree in Quantity Surveying from recognised university; 
Minimum of 6 years’ experience; 
Minimum of 3 years’ UAE or international experience; 
Must have consultant and/or client background for minimum of 2 years'; 
Knowledge in the use of QS software CATO or similar is required; 
Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; 
Possess good project background and proven English language technical writing ability and skills.

Responsibilities

Full Project Management duties 
Ensuring implementation and compliance with the Integrated Management System 
Provision of pre and post contract project control and responsibility

Experience & Qualifications



Degree holder in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering, from a reputable university
Member/Fellow of RICS or similar qualification is essential. 
Minimum of 20 years of relevant project/programme management experience
Proven ability to demonstrate the effective delivery of Project Manager duties from initial brief through delivery to final completion
Recent experience working on large scale regeneration or development projects in the Middle East. 
Productive supervision of subordinates including adequate planning, monitoring and control 
Ability to manage a team on major/complex projects.
Effective team control and building of team spirit/culture
Management of resources on projects through collaboration with the Directors 
Retaining existing clients for further work and securing new clients 
Ability to represent Faithful+Gould at bid interviews 
Demonstrate an understanding of overall project requirements and the ability to advise client’s knowledgably on overall project management issues
Demonstrate effective leadership and high commitment in order to achieve goals 
Excellent communications skills; including report writing and presentation skills

Document Controller

We are currently looking for experts to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to provide multi-disciplinary services and expertise to our clients on a wide range of onshore oil and gas capital projects. The work will involve project management, engineering, and procurement and construction supervision and we’re looking for people at all levels, in particular the role defined below.

To support our on-going projects we now require a Information Management Coordinator to work in a team of Oil & Gas Engineers based in our KSA Office.
Core Responsibilities:

Leads information management activities for the assigned client onshore capital Projects, including the management of all design deliverables, correspondence, internal documentation, shared network drives and final Project documentation
Ensures a set of comprehensive information management procedures and departmental work instructions are developed and maintained.
Leads the development of final Project documentation with the GES+ Contractor.
Lead efforts to develop and agree all standards, systems, handover and close-out of Project activities related to information management
Arrange for set up, implementation and maintenance of the electronic document management system; Arrange for training of IPMT personnel in document management systems
Ensure that a comprehensive set of information management procedures are developed and maintained
Manage a coordinated approach to resolving procedural issues in a timely manner
Manage coordinating a complete and timely Project close-out/handover/archiving activities
Proactive in proposing improvements/developments of systems and processes
Provides Information Management leadership to the Project
Establishes, implements and stewards Project Information Management policies, processes, procedures, systems and controls
Works with GES+ Contractor to ensure alignment between IPMT Information Management requirements and contract terms and conditions
Provides IPMT oversight of all GES+ Contractor Information Management processes, procedures and systems to ensure contractual compliance, gap identification and closure
Strong focus on managing IPMT and GES+ Contractor information flow between Project
Ensures documentation conforms to Client requirements
Leads the archiving of Project documentation at the completion of the Project.

General Requirements:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge and experience with Information Management computing and hardcopy systems, management processes and control procedures
Knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems
Proven leadership and team management skills, capable strategic planner.
Minimum of ten (10) years related experience in Document Controller and ten (10) years’ experience working within Oil & Gas.
Experienced in working with large FEED Contractors in the areas of Information management, contract compliance and contract change management.

Essential Requirements:

Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Business degrees shall be exceptional dependent on position proposed.
Candidates shall have the required certification and completed training relevant to the position being applied for. 
Hydrocarbon Design Engineering experience is essential. Brownfield and/or grassroots facilities experience (Gas Plants, Refineries, GOSPs, NGL as an example) are the main focus.
Applications from those with actual design engineering experience practiced either in Europe or North America are preferred.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for supporting the business with maintaining good relationships and resolving issues with various government entities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ministry of Labour
- Submit applications over the counter
- Resolve issues such as system blocks, or labour cases
- Abu Dhabi Pension Fund
- Submit new registrations
- Resolve issues that may come up including payments not registering on the system or rejected payments
- Security Passes from Critical National Infra Structure Authority, Diwan Ameri, Airport etc.
- Submit new and renewal applications for various passes at the requisite customer service offices
- Provide Cover for other PROs on leave.
- Submit various applications at immigration
- Support trade licence maintenance with various entities
The right candidate for this job will be a proactive problem solver who is able to resolve to issues in a timely manner. He or she should have good relationships with government entities and work well both independently and as part of a team. The PRO will be required to attend the office a minimum of 2 times per week in addition to his or her duties outside.
