IT Operations Senior Engineer - Fixed

Role purpose: 

• Specific point of contact for IT Operation, service management in Vodafone Qatar.
• Works with key accounts to solve service issues & problems end to end.
• Works pro-actively to improve the overall customer experience.
• Business facing role, working with internal business units with Vodafone Qatar (e.g. customer care, Products, networks, Billing etc ) and external partners.
• The IT Operations Engineer is responsible for initiating, defining and implementing all the necessary activities, processes, reports etc to be able to meet or exceed customer Key Performance Indicators on the service. 
• To ensure that the level of service provided to all internal and external customers meet performance requirements, the Service Manager will maintain relationships with suppliers of technology/service and internal Product and Process Owners / Managers.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 
• Experienced professional responsible for the managing End-to-End Service management team activities as well as assessing the commercial impact of service interface changes
• Ensuring contributions to Post Incident Reviews are provided for major incidents and are fully documented within the Problem management system and that root cause and any remedial actions are identified and tracked through to completion within agreed timescales.
• Will typically work on large propositions where management of other End-to-End Service managers is required.
• End-to-End Service Management professional will need to be pro-active with a desire to operate with a service transition environment and have a good understanding of ITIL
• Able to use and adapt and develop recognised ITIL conformant processes and tools, according to the commercial and governance needs of specific programme obligations and contractual requirements.
• A proven ability to lead varied End-to-End Service Management teams within an IT operations frame work.
• Knowledge and/or experience of governance and control of benefits-driven projects.
• Identifies and addresses underlying service problems across Vodafone’s IT network in order to improve the customer experience
• Ensures that everything Vodafone does is delivered Right First Time from the customer’s perspective, at the time that they want it
• Maintains quality of business as usual activity, whilst driving transformational change 
• Is a recognised subject matter expert within their field in the e2e Service Management Lifecycle & Specific domains
• Maintain effective Service Management communication plans
• Maintain database of Known Errors and Workarounds.
• Mentoring new members of the team, and training them to prepare for their role and the processes/procedures used within the team.
• End to end technical management of incidents through to technical conclusion meeting Vodafone’s SLA's and service expectation
• Act as a bridge between the Business and the Service Management function, contributing to the major incidents and bringing together Technology and Business stakeholders to resolve these incidents
• Taking ownership to contact both internal and external partners as per defined process and escalate any issues with resolution

IMS Core Senior engineer

The IMS senior Engineer is responsible for 24/7 Operations, Support and Configuration of the IMS network elements in Vodafone Qatar network. He will provide Level 2 support for customer complaints and carry out incident/problem management activities. The IMS engineer will also be responsible for validating, implementing and testing network and product configurations within the defined OLA / SLA.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 
• Operations and configuration support for IMS core network.
• Create processes that help operate and build IMS network
• Work closely with other Networking departments on new designs
• Ensure that the IMS network adheres to the defined network standards
• Review and implement changes on the IMS network
• Drive operational excellence projects to drive improvements in our IMS network quality and reliability
• Troubleshoot complex problems and develop innovative solutions day to day on our network
• Perform Escalation and Notification to keep management and other business units informed during system outages. And interfacing with level 3 and R&D and Support other function to find Root Cause analysis for the all issue and outages related to Optical and microwave network
• Owner for all the Tools and database system in the IMS network and responsible for Backup ,license ,performance and capacity management 
• Daily Health check on IMS components follow up and action any identified degradation
• Software upgrade on NEs as and when required.
• Make sure all the existing or introduction of new elements on IMS network domain is resilient
• Quarterly study on capacity status of the IMS core network and keep design informed about the utilisation in regular agreed intervals. .
• Responsible for Network & service provisioning on IMS fixed Core for all kind of services (SOHO, SIP-T, Corporate Internet, E-VPN, IP-VPN etc…) for corporate and Retail customers.

Key performance indicators:
• Resolution and timely response of 98% of SR in SLA
• >100% success rate in all the changes request implementation
• 100% system stability and manage system utilisation within the designed threshold or less than 80%. .
• Availability >99.9% for all the IMS Core nodes 
• 100% success rate in solving the incidents & L2 Tickets with in SLA .
• Zero health and safety incidents
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• 8 years’ + experience supporting and configuring IMS equipment in an operator or a vendor environment, that includes but not limited to daily health checks, incident handling, problem solving.
• VoLTE experience is a plus.
• In-depth Technical knowledge of IMS solution architecture interfaces and protocols.
• Experience in vendor management in a managed services environment
• Experience in Nokia (ALU) IMS solution.

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, telecommunications or equivalent.

FLM Data Center Manager

Data Center Manager is responsible for Managing the Data Center sites objectives, which includes performing preventative & Corrective maintenance End to End responsibility, Health & Safety Audit, Spare Part Management, keeping of site and test equipment inventories and managing the vendors and 3rd party suppliers .

Data Center Manager will be responsible for Spare Part Management ,Warehouse, Quality Auditing , Site Access, Acceptance of New Service process, Vendor and Sub Con Management , Contractor Management Inventory & EHS Management

The incumbent will also perform audits as required and is responsible for the quality of the field data and will complete the collection and maintenance of data about assigned physical assets to ensure an accurate, up-to-date database

Make sure Data Center operation is aligned with group guidelines & External Audit requirements.

Identify and ensure that major inspection discrepancies are reported appropriately and corrected in a timely manner.

Respond quickly and effectively to resolve various trouble tickets, monitoring system and Data Center performance issues in accordance with applicable policies, standards and procedures. And Comply with and perform quality assurance programs.

Keep manager well-informed about operational and maintenance issues associated with sites. Monitor and report material usage and spare part audit in order to maintain adequate spare supplies.

Manage Data Center Access.

Data Center E2E operational Acceptance & Quality.

Resiliency : Inform and follow up with relevant stake holders for all elements in the data centre for missing redundancy if any .

• 100% Completion of the PM & Task as scheduled.

Data Center competencies, knowledge and experience :

Minimum 6 Years of experience in Field Operation with telecom Vendors /Operator on corrective and preventive maintenance.

Min 3 Years of Experience in Spare part management, Acceptance and Data Center Maintenance.

Good knowledge of EHS requirements applicable to the Telecom industry.

Strong follow-up skills; ability to organize applicable department timelines and follow up with internal and external customer needs

Minimum Experience of 4 Years in telecom infra like Utility management etc

Expert on DC Power system & Facilities such as rectifiers, Battery banks ,inverters,ups,dc power load distribution ,protection devices & Technique, Generator etc. 

H&S Certified preferred.

DWDM & Fixed Access Snr Engineer

Role purpose: 

Operation, configuration and maintenance of Vodafone Backbone WDM/OTN/MW networks, Fixed,ISAM & Fibre Operation
Level 2 technical support for all configuration and performance related to Optical and Microwave Network on multivendor equipment’s ( Alcatel-Lucent and Huawei ).
Responsible for optics and fixed rollout, operation & integration on DWDM , ADM , SDH ,CWDM , MW ,Gpon , ONT , OLT , ISAM and FTTH 

Key accountabilities and decision ownership : 

Operations and configuration support for rollout of DWDM networks

Create processes that help operate and build our DWDM network

Work closely with other Networking departments on new designs

Ensure that the DWDM network adheres to the defined network standards

Review and implement changes on the Optics and microwave back bone and access network

Drive operational excellence projects to drive improvements in our DWDM network quality and reliability

Troubleshoot complex problems and develop innovative solutions day to day on our network

Operation Integration & Commissioning of GPON network (ISAM 7302 & 7360, AMS 5520, NA-F 5530, SDC 5529, HDM 5580) to provide Corporate, residential and Mobile backhaul services over fiber (FTTx).

Providing Level 2 support for GPON (ISAM 7302/7360, AMS 5520) & JDSU ONMS to handle complex incidents and problems. Software upgrade on NEs & OMS as and when required.

End to end Fixed Access network support (Presales, Requirements / LLD, Development, Pre-Integration testing, End-to-End testing, Deployment, Training, Subscriber Migration, Customer acceptance, Maintenance and Customer support).

Responsible for Network & service provisioning all kind of services (SOHO, SIP-T, Corporate Internet, E-VPN, IP-VPN etc…) for corporate and Retail customers.

Knowledge of Fiber tools and tester,

Experience in OFC Splicing and maintenance preferred

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
• Bachelor's degree in Telecom/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related fields
• At least 8 years of proven experience working in a large-scale telecom carrier/vendor and/or enterprise environment.
• Min 4 Year sIn-depth knowledge and experience with Nokia-ALU PSS32/36/64 Equipment and Huawei OSN releases DWDM platform and NMS platforms
• Minimum 2 years exp in Huawei DWDM
• Solid understanding of DWDM, ROADM, MAN Ethernet, SONET and TDM circuit hierarchy.
• Prior experience with a telecom carrier or large enterprise organization with Hi-cap circuits (ex. 1Gb, 10Gb, SONET, DWDM, etc.).
