Instrument Technician

Job Purpose
Carries out preventive and breakdown maintenance and calibration of all electronic (PLC/DCS/SCADA) and pneumatic control system instruments in the field and workshop in the assigned field, such as transmitters, control valves, shut down switches and vibration probes and installs cabling as necessary.  Also carries out routine/preventive maintenance of analyzers, fire and gas, all instrumentation and safety system. Performs servicing, condition monitoring, fault diagnosis and restorative tasks on ESD system. Assists Senior Technicians during fault diagnosis and restorative tasks on gas turbine control systems, fuel gas control valves and governors. Performs servicing, condition monitoring, fault diagnosis and restorative tasks on metering system and equipment.

Key Result Areas

1.    Carries out routine preventive maintenance and calibration of field instruments on a regular basis per the approved schedule for transmitters, control valves, shut down switches and a variety of other instruments in all process areas.  Completes work reports after each job giving full details of work carried out, including parts and materials used and man hours spent.
 2.    Carries out breakdown maintenance or ad hoc checks as required by Production, and disassembles instruments, cleans/replaces parts or components, reassembles, replaces cards, calibrates and tests serviced instruments to ensure proper operation.  Reports all serious malfunctions immediately to engineer, for his advice and direction.


Production Operator 
Description
Outside unit operator responsible for the safe, efficient and effective operation and front line maintenance of the processes, systems and equipment in the assigned area of responsibility.

Operating Issuing Authority for the assigned area of responsibility for the PTW system.


1. The safe, efficient and effective monitoring and operation of all processes, systems, and equipment in the assigned area of responsibility.
2. The timely execution of the Planned Preventive Maintenance, (PPM Program), for the assigned area of responsibility as detailed in the 28 – 7 day plans, and recording of results in the Maximo.
3. The routine inspection, monitoring and recording of operating conditions in the daily shift Reading Sheets and the keeping of accurate daily / shift records of equipment and systems status and any changes in the daily logs.
4. The routine inspection & monitoring of the process consumables and the organization of replenishment(s) as required.
5. The routine starting /stopping of equipment &/or adjustments to the process & equipment as directed by the Control Room Operator (CRO).
6. The identification and reporting of corrective maintenance requirements/ corrosion / anomalies / structural defects within the assigned operating area.
7. Safe starting or shutting down of Units / Platform in co ordination with CRO.
8. Alternate and backfill as required with the Senior Operator-Tech.
9. Ensures his work area is well maintained and carries out house keeping in his area of responsibility.
10. Provide technical knowledge and experience in diagnosing and resolving operational problems, &/or identification of opportunities for improvement.
11. Provide accurate and clear communications to operations and facilities team personnel to enable meeting of team targets and goals.
12. Feedback to the Senior Op-Tech, CRO and Operations Supervisor any changes to production which affect work plans and schedules
13. Clear and accurate communication with the facilities support teams in the delivery of support services to the operations and maintenance efforts.
14. Understand and have detailed knowledge of the company’s Emergency Response Procedures.
15. Perform emergency response duties and tasks as defined in the company’s Emergency Response Procedures Manual and the installation station bill.
16. Perform emergency response duties as a Fire Team member.
17. Participate in STOP/ Horizon zero program and report all unsafe acts, behaviors and conditions.
18. Report all incidents to the supervisor.

PTW Area Responsibilities:
19. Undertake the planning, preparation, and execution of equipment &/or system isolation as required for routine PPM, Corrective Maintenance, maintenance &/or projects campaigns; &/or integrity verification inspection, as specified on the relevant work request and PTW.
20. Control access within his area of responsibility to engineering, inspection, maintenance, & /or facilities staff under the PTW system requirements & guidelines.
21. Continuously or periodically monitor the work activities and progress to ensure compliance with the PTW requirements and restrictions.
22. Ensure an accurate and complete handover to the next shift &/or operating team of the status of all ongoing works.
23. Undertake the final inspection at the completion of all works, ensuring the works have been completed satisfactory to the scope and PTW requirements; all tools, materials and debris removed; where applicable, determine that the equipment / system is deemed to be worthy of returning to service; and execute the closure of the PTW, & work request.

Process and Production Operation
24. Understand, monitor, check parameter Trends and intervene where necessary to ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation of the outside utility systems, oil processing, effluent treatment plant, and safety systems and equipment, whilst avoiding unnecessary processing upsets &/or equipment shutdowns.
25. Coordinate and monitor the routine utility, process, and effluent sampling and analysis, ensuring the results are within the quality and environmental control parameters, and making adjustments as required to meet prescribed QAQC standards, whilst optimizing on the consumables usage wherever possible.

Sea Water Treatment & Injection
26. Understand, monitor, check parameter Trends and intervene where necessary to ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation of the sea water lifting and filtration; sea water treatment and de-aeration, high pressure pumping system; utilities generation; and safety systems and equipment, whilst avoiding unnecessary processing upsets &/or equipment shutdowns.
27. Monitor the routine utility and process sampling and analysis, ensuring the results are within the quality and environmental control parameters, and making adjustments as required to meet prescribed QAQC standards, whilst optimizing on the consumables usage wherever possible.
28. Maintain water injection rate and pressure as recommended by engineering.
29. Assist with the preparation and execution of routine PPM maintenance.
30. Assist maintenance team whilst Crank Soak washing the gas turbine engines and generators.

Gas Lift Systems
31. Understand, monitor, check parameter Trends and intervene where necessary to ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation of the gas compression systems; gas lift circulation system, high pressure gas re-injection system; utilities generation; and safety systems and equipment, whilst avoiding unnecessary processing upsets &/or equipment shutdowns.
32. Monitor the routine utility and process sampling and analysis, ensuring the results are within the quality and environmental control parameters, and making adjustments as required to meet prescribed QAQC standards, whilst optimizing on the consumables usage wherever possible.
33. Assist with the preparation and execution of the routine PPM maintenance.
34. Assist maintenance team whilst Crank Soak washing the gas turbine engines.
35. Well Operations (Applicable for SWF only)
36. Understand, monitor and intervene where necessary to ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation of wells and process equipment. Ensures Safety system is fully functional. Eliminate unnecessary production loss and process upset by taking timely corrective action.
37. Perform trend analysis of gas injection rate, tubing and casing pressures of oil producing wells.
38. Carry out quality well testing and water cut analysis, document accurate well test report. Communicate any significant changes in production to Gas lift SPS/Area SPS. (Applicable for SWF only)
39. The routine well opening and shut-in, adjustments to the process & equipment as directed SPS/Senior Production Operator.
40. Assisting in the coordination of Wire line and well intervention activities.
41. Provide operational support on rig for drilling department during drilling/ work over operations.
42. Ensures his work area is well maintained and carries out house keeping in his area of responsibility. 


Senior Mechanical Engineer


Duties and Responsibilities:
Independently develops methods and solutions for mechanical engineering problems; selects the most efficient and economical manner in meeting the various design engineering requirement on medium to large infrastructure related projects or studies. Completes a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analysis within one discipline.

Ensure technical reviews and compliance of design engineering with Quality Management Systems to maintain and improve high quality deliverables to our clients.

Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.

Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings.

Prepares engineering calculations and designs.

Prepares engineering reports with minimal supervision.

Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.

Prepares detailed specifications for equipment and materials.

Reviews supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.

Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.

Provides technical guidance to CAD Designers, Drafters, and lower level Engineers working on the same project.

Completes other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

If required, provides support to projects under construction, including

Checks & review of materials and equipment to ensure that they are in accordance with the specifications. Inspects all the mechanical materials delivered to project site for compliance as per approved materials data / samples.

Checks & Reviews shop drawings to ensure that they are in accordance with the design and that they are coordinated including compliance with all the regulatory requirements.

Witnesses testing and commissioning and performance of various plant and pipe systems.

Reviews 'As Built' drawings and 'Operation and Maintenance Manuals'.

Reviews Contractor's staff qualifications and CVs to ensure that they are qualified for the Project at hand.



Experience and Qualifications:

Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University with minimum 15 years of related work experience, preferably with GCC experience.

Experience in design and construction supervision of mechanical facilities such as water, waste water and seawater pumping stations.

Fluent in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills. Reporting, presentation and administration skills.

Min 15 years postgraduate experience of similar work in the design office and on site with progressively increasing responsibility.

Driving licence required



Senior Project Architect (Central Zone)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Provides technical direction to a team of Architects and design personnel engaged in all phases of a large architectural project. Responsible for the technical excellence of the architectural tasks and analyses performed, and for on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. Reviews project documents for technical accuracy and conducts in-field reviews of project quality to ensure adherence to project plan. Willingness to travel and/or relocate to field sites is expected.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Defines discipline organization and participation on a project including scope of work, design criteria, schedules, standards, and procedures. Prepares staffing estimates and execution plans and monitors progress assessment.
Reviews work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed and that quality is acceptable. Monitors productivity and technical proficiency of the assigned personnel. Makes staffing assignments and reassignments as project needs arise. Conducts performance evaluations, takes corrective action as necessary, recommends promotions and salary actions, and offers training and development for the assigned personnel.

Determines budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.
Ensures that architectural design work is coordinated with project staff and engineering disciplines by maintaining clear and frequent communication.
Advises project management regarding any problem areas, staffing requirements, delays in production, scope changes, or other events which could affect project completion and/or profitability.
nitiates and reviews change order requests for additions, deletions, or changes to the original scope of work.
Keeps abreast of current technologies.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture (or equivalent) is required with 15+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and 15+ years related experience. Professional registration is required.


SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Requires proficiency in the application of architectural design standards, practices, techniques, and concepts.
Proficiency in CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with architectural design is also required, as well as demonstrated leadership capabilities and strong presentation skills.
