Marine Structures - Engineering Design Consultant

The Role
Our client is an engineering consultancy based in Bahrain looking to recruit a Consulting Engineer who can confidently design (and check and verify the existing designs) marine structures such as rock armoured revetments, rubble mound breakwaters, sheet piled walls, blockwork concrete quay walls, caissons, hollow blocks, piers, ports, concrete/steel piled deck structures, mooring structures, without supervision.

* Provide technical assistance to the Head of Department and manage Port and Marine team on daily basis
* Conduct Marine and Structural work design with minimum guidance and monitoring
* Work closely with other team disciplines to develop viable engineering solutions to suit project needs
* Responsible for project coordination and management
* Attend meetings and competently communicate with client, major stakeholders and design teams
* Solving Technical Questions and review shop drawings
* Experience in marine work design is an essential
Requirements
This person should have a maximum of 10 Years of working experience in related field; where 10 years experience as a Design Engineer with Engineering Consultancy firm or design and build contractor with track records

* Maximum 10 of working experience in related field; where 7 years experience as a Design Engineer with Engineering Consultancy firm or design and build contractor with track records
* Good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
* Able to work on own initiative as well as being a team player who able to represent Company to clients
* Must have a good understanding of engineering principles
* Must be able to use AutoCAD for review of the drawings and proficiency using SAP2000, StaadPro and other Analysis Software will be added advantages

Preferred Qualification
* A recognized Degree in Civil, Structural or Marine Engineering.

New Business Development:

• Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.

Management and Research:
• Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
• Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other sales management system.
• Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team.
• Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
• Work with marketing staff to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner.

Job Purpose :To manage the development and implementation of IT service and support policies, processes, and delivery ensuring compliance and optimal performance provided business users across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Service Framework
• Design, develop, review, refine and continuously monitor Key Cloud service delivery Models and IT standards to ensure quality SLA based service from the key cloud service providers to all businesses.
• Monitor compliance with the standard IT service delivery framework, policies, and procedures to ensure full compliance across all vendors and respective Teams
• Develop mechanisms (reports, meetings and forums) for Service Level communication to all the relevant Business units.

• Design, implement and manage KPI reporting to measure the quality and effectiveness of company’s Cloud Service Providers.
• Design, develop and implement Service Availability Model for support to IT Service decision support system.
• Identify and lead service improvement initiatives to enhance IT service delivery performance and efficiencies and implementing cost reductions.
• Recommend the services of external service providers to support company’s in sourcing and appointing appropriate IT services and support.
• Define service level agreements for all contracted external IT service providers, and monitor the implementation to ensure alignment with company’s set standards and expectations.
• Facilitate performance reviews of all external service providers and suppliers of IT services and goods to companies to ensure performance is in line with business requirements, and identified issues are addressed.
Reporting
• Develop all related reports and statements in a comprehensive, accurate and timely manner, and meet business and functional requirements and standards.
