Senior Compliance Manager - Global Markets The main responsibilities of this role is to support the Group’s compliance strategy in their compliance plans to deliver a strong and integrated Compliance agenda. - Provide oral and written general compliance and transactional advice to Global Markets on compliance policies and procedures and relevant laws, rules and regulations - Participate in the New Product Approval and assessment process for relevant Global Markets business areas, providing compliance advice and sign-off on activities/transactions - Engage with senior business management across Global Markets providing them with compliance advice, management information and compliance support with respect to regulatory aspects of the business they operate. - Assist in implementation of new policies and procedures and updating existing policies and procedures in response to or in anticipation of rules and regulation changes - Initiate and lead on strategic projects and initiatives on monitoring and surveillance to implement the function-wide solutions in order to mitigate regulatory and reputational risks - Manage enquiries from stakeholders such as Global Markets documentation, Legal, Middle Office, Operations and Group Compliance and provide subject matter expertise on Global Markets Compliance matters from time to time. - Conducting and leading compliance monitoring on Global Markets businesses to ensure compliance with relevant rules, policies and working with stakeholders on completion and resolution of action items. - Assist in the creation, implementation and monitoring of the Global Markets Compliance framework and plan that properly addresses Compliance needs and requirements in line with laws, rules and regulations. - Regularly monitor the implementation of the corrective action of compliance related findings for the Global Markets business and provide periodic reporting to Group Compliance and ensure proper compliance through effective communication with related parties across the Group. - Escalate material Compliance issues to the respective Compliance units as necessary. - Execute other duties as directed by the Head of Compliance – Global Markets - Managing Bank’s compliance with standards and regulations

The job holder is responsible for working as part of specialist functional team responsible for Treasury Credit Risk. Treasury Credit Risk is primarily engaged in credit risk governance and monitoring of transactions associated with Global Markets and Trading Unit. Main Tasks: - Assist with development & implementation of Treasury Credit Risk Management framework (covering all treasury products including Repo, FX and Derivatives, Issuer Risk, Settlement Risk etc.) - Help develop Credit and Group Risk Committee notes required for better risk management - Work with IT/BO and FO stakeholders to ensure all data aspects associated with Client Appropriateness and Suitability or Product Appropriateness and Suitability are properly captured in treasury s stems and reports - Assist with development & implementation of an updated Counterparty Credit Risk Methodology for key CCR parameters (PFE and EE) - As part of methodology update, work with all key stakeholders (GCD/FO and MO) to setup a governance framework around exposure computation and other CCR methodology aspects - Work with MTCR team to ensure periodic methodology parameter updates are performed effectively - Work with MTCR team to ensure impact analysis and other ad-hoc analysis is presented and discussed with all stakeholders prior to significant parameter changes - Assist in development of Product and Models approval framework to capture all key aspects associated with GM&T enabled products and risk models - Assist with ensuring appropriateness of MTCR methodology, models & parameters to the business and/or asset class. - Help develop, implement, and document the methodology, models & parameters validation, monitoring and maintenance framework for market & Treasury Credit Risk. - Participate in design, testing and implementation of system enhancements requiring Treasury Credit Risk engagement towards enhancing existing systems, processes and controls. - Work with all stakeholders on all treasury related projects including new product setup, new methodology setup, system upgrades etc - Work with IT on preparation and review of BRD and FSD associated with all new project initiatives - Work with IT to implement the updated PFE methodology in system and ensure all system development requirements are captured for successful rollout of PFE methodology - Work with IT to ensure successful rollout of all Post Go Live Issues with ERS - Ensure that the unit's deliverables towards project/milestones deadlines are met within a framework of good governance controls requirements and with proper project management practices, - Participate in Project Working Groups as called for as a key stakeholder. - Develop tools for in house portfolio analytics from TCR perspective. Help in identification of key concentration risks, jump risk and any other ad hoc analysis required as per market movements - Help the team identify counterparty credit risks in various business/asset classes to all counterparties and build appropriate risk measures to assess the identified risk. - Help in the review and approval of new product, business proposals from an Treasury Credit Risk perspective
Requirements
Key Requirement: - Over 3 years relevant experience in large international banking organizations or other financial institutions like Brokerage House or Investment Banks Good analytical capabilities. Good grasp of financial mathematics, products and markets. - Strong Asset class Knowledge: All approved asset classes that the Global Markets and Treasury deals in, such as FX, Fixed Income, Rates Commodities, Credit, Precious Metals etc. - Experience of working in a fast paced trading floor environment and having dealt with Trading, Sales, Structuring and Credit functions - Graduate qualifications in Business, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or a related quantitative field of study. - To prepare and implement the annual compliance and internal control review plan and submit it for Group Compliance approval. - To implement specific steps within the compliance program to ensure effective implementation of regulations and statutory requirements concerning Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Combating Terrorism Finance (CTF), The banks standards and Regulatory requirements. Implement a checklist of regular internal controls including regulatory requirements, - Monitor adherence of business and support management to Central Bank/ Legal Authority regulations and statutory requirements. Oversee the standard of accounting and financial information - Oversee global risk management by setting and ensuring the cohesion and efficiency of ongoing control procedures throughout the entire branch. - Conduct on-going compliance reviews as per the approved annual compliance review plan. - Implement all changes in regulations at the Branch, and communicate them to Group Compliance including maintenance of appropriate registers to record receipt of new regulations and their subsequent implementation. - Promote the employees’ awareness by providing Compliance/ AML training courses to the Branch (es) staff and Senior Manager. Review system changes and or enhancements of Central Banks Provide advice service to the Branch Management in relation to product services (policies and procedures) - RSA, CSAs and KPCIs reviews unit responses on a rolling basis with spot checks and verify veracity and completeness of reporting. - Ensure implementation of Group Compliance/ Group Internal Audit / banking commission / external auditors’ recommendations. - Submit periodic reports to Group Compliance detailing cases of non-compliance to Central Banks’ regulations and statutory requirements. - Prepare and submit the monthly compliance reporting to Group Compliance. - Prepare and retain monthly internal control reports for Group Compliance and the Country General Manager. - Prepare annual report on internal control in coordination with Senior Management and Group Compliance. - Prepare internal control report for every assignment conducted detailing the review objectives, scope and outcome. Recommend improvement in branch’s policies and procedures Knowledge Skills and Experience: - 8-10 years’ experience of control/audit procedures and knowledge of compliance in banking institution or regulatory agency preferably in compliance or internal audit function. - Bachelor degree with professional qualifications such as CCO/CPA/CIA/CA. - Good oral and written communication skills (incl. report writing) in English.
